This has been a "week".I had an appointment this week to begin a sleep study. My first appointment was to get the device, instructions on how to use it and to return it the next day.I had the dates of my appointments clear in my mind, but did not have the dates of each day in my mind. I went early Tuesday only to learn my appointment was for Wednesday. Ah...Tuesdays wasn't the 8th!!! The rest of that day was a blur as I felt I was coming down with something, and I really needed sleep. So, I returned yesterday morning, happily feeling much better, got a good briefing on how to use their device and came home. Last night, I was all rigged out with a sensor just at my breastbrone, a sensor on my little finger, and a device strapped to my right wrist to collect all the data. I was told I should tape all the cords and cables to my body so nothing would accidentally come loose.I also could not use my CPAP since the purpose of the study was to determine whether I truly have sleep apnea. It was one of the worst nights in a long time. I woke up every two hours thinking I had slept through the night. But, no. I needed to wear everything for six hours.Into bed at 11:15 p.m. and out of bed at 5:35 a.m. I removed all the stuff, put it back on the container it came in, and then put myself back into bed with my CPAP where I finally got a good 3 1/2 hours of sleep.Drove to Aiken SC for a third time in three days and turned the device in. Afterward, it was off to Sam's Club for some much-needed New Year's shopping.I anticipate the call to return for the results in a week or so.
Thursday evening greetings! We went out to eat today and then shopped in person at Kroger. We are now hunkered down - again - in anticipation of more snow tomorrow into Saturday. Ugh!
My local library branch, which has been closed since the election for renovations, is reopening Sunday. Great news for me.
Jane, I’m glad your nephew’s not homeless. Vibes to all of us facing this disaster.
Why would you have National Apricot Day when apricots are not in season?
