Richard Holmes, Rupert's brother, suggested I ask Spectrum what TV stations I never watch and see if removing them will lower my monthly bill from $244.00.

So, I just got off the phone with Spectrum. My new bill is now $196.00/month.

A few years ago, I realized that I pretty much wasn't watching any TV, even the pay channels that I was paying for, so I dropped all TV and my bill went from about $240 to $96, and I haven't missed it at all.

Thanks, Freddie!  I'm getting them from Costco for the first time, so I have no idea if they just tell you that so when they come sooner than that, it makes them look good, or if it really can take two weeks.

I cannot remember the name of the German who wrote the famous diary of his Berlin life in the 1920s and 30s. I read it in college because he attended the 1928 premiere of The Threepenny Opera. He mentions a party he attended where folies bergere star, a nude Josephine Baker, was having public sex with another woman. It's hard to forget parties like that!

TOD: Not something I eat often, but I love meatball subs. I love meatballs.

When we do get subs, it's Quizno's, which is about twice a year. My daughter's favorite.

Same! And Quizno’s carbonara was my jam. Then the Quizno’s disappeared around me. But I found one in Canada recently. Brought back memories.

There used to be two or three Quiznos in the area, and then there were none.

A few years ago, I found out that there's one about 20 minutes north of me, and two within 25 minutes south of me.  They're all still really good.

But I also really like Subway and Jersey Mike's.  I haven't been to a Jimmy John's in quite a while, so I don't remember if they're as good.

I will accompany my cousin tomorrow below freezing morning when her Mom is laid to rest next to her husband.....and the family cemetery.
