Well, you've read the notes, the notes were tracked, and now it is time for you to post until the tracked cows come home.

I did not watch the "Fat Orange Felon Fantasy Show" last night. I spend too much time vomiting these days without his help. Yesterday, after hearing Justin Trudeau's video plea to the FOF to dreop the tariffs and an interview with a Canadian mucky-muck talking about Canadianm retaliation, I decided that the FOF has no intentions of working to benefit the American people and that he is indeed working with another country to destroy the US. He only ran for president for revenge and to avoid the charges that came too late from Merrick Garland's office, only his MAGA NMorons are too stupid to realize that.

I slept poorly last night: not enough painkillers and the throbbing ball joiont of my right hip was completely out of control. Around 5:00, I turned off the alarm and decided to sleep as late as I could. At 6:30, Annabelle vomited all over the bed, and that got me out bed fast.

After doing laundry yesterday, I have no urge to go back down and launder the bedspread this morning. I hope I can clean it up. If not, I'll launder the bedclothes tomorrow.

Question for Ask BK Day:  BK, did you know when your music director signed on that he'd be missing this period during rehearsal?

Kind of a rocky sleep, especially toward morning, and three or four bizarre dreams that I think were separate but they were related to each other in some ways. They were pretty much based on familiar themes, but quite weird.

Dead tired this morning, and though I have things to do, I’m so glad I can just rest for a while.

Kitty cleanup is finished, and I cleaned Annabelle's vomit off the bedspread. I think I will wash it tomorrow.

Waiting for Mr. Rushdie. Security is mixed. We ushers were not screened. The guests will be. Tickets were apparently from $10,000 to $25,000 a table.

Wow!  How many at a table?

Is it a non-profit benefit?

Very surprised that the ushers were not screened.

He has every reason to be extremely paranoid.

Look forward to hearing about the event, John G.

I expect that he will discuss his latest book, “Knife: Meditations After an Attempted Murder”.

John G, this sounds like a wonderful event!
Will you be attending the luncheon as well? Wondering what will be served.
Or is it a “literary” luncheon only?

The 2025 Book Appétit Literary Feast will take place March 5, 2025 (Tobin Center for the Performing Arts) and feature Salman Rushdie, author of Knife and Midnight’s Children.

The Book Festival’s singular fundraising event is the Book Appétit luncheon—a literary feast that kicks off the Festival. Featuring a prominent author(s), the Book Appétit luncheon offers guests a unique opportunity: a special presentation by the distinguished author. Past featured authors have included comedian Paula Poundstone, Pulitzer Prize winners Ron Chernow and Lawrence Wright, National Book Award winner James McBride, renowned poet Naomi Shihab Nye, bestselling author Ann Patchett, and acclaimed journalist Alfredo Corchado.

From DR Chas:

Quote
I have officially decided that I love pit work more than just about anything in my musical life. It's great to music-direct something you love now and then, and I am very grateful to have the privilege of doing so, but I love playing in pits with good musicians and could be happy doing ... just that, and be totally happy.

I hope that most of your future work is pit work.
