I asked my date to meet me at the gym. But they never showed up.

Jane, I thought the Amazon blackout was last Friday.

That was a blackout for all major corporations.  This one is only Amazon.

We are under a wind advisory with gusts up to 50 mph...until 5 a.m.

And S**W, too, but it is not expected to accumulate.

Vibes you keep your power.

As for the days of no spending I feel that small businesses should be supported instead.

Starting an adventure flick called Arabian Nights with Jon Hall, Maria Montez and Sabu. It looks fun.

We probably had more rain in the hour if the service than DR Laura gets in a year

Started a weird movie called Three Comrades. Based on an Erich Maria Remarque novel. Script cowritten by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Stars Robert Taylor, Margaret Sullavan, Franchot Tone and Robert Montgomery. Lyrics by Forrest and Wright. Nothing is naturalistic. The dialogue is both fake poetic and intriguing. It has a lost generation feel to it, but from a German perspective.

And for as odd as it all it, I am fascinated by it.

I’m a sucker for a good melodrama, and Three Comrades filled the bill beautifully. Margaret Sullavan was just wonderful.

“Why don’t you study a blank page for a while and improve your mind “

Now that’s dialogue.

White. A blank page or canvas. The challenge. Bring order to the whole. Through design, composition, tension, balance, light, and harmony.

Back from an interesting rehearsal - it was helpful having Richard Allen there, but he had never even looked at the score and our MD's notes are either unreadable or not there at all. Still, it wasn't as loony as trying to time the tracks. Richard will be back on Sunday night for our designer run.
