FYI - Recently I have served an orange-cranberry cake and a lemon-blueberry cake. Both from "Natasha's Kitchen" website. They were very popular. Folks talked a lot about them.

I like berry pies.  There was a bakery in Ashland that made mini single marionberry pies that were delicious.

A place on the coast makes an awesome ollalieberry pie. I tried someof those berries fresh, but they weren't as good that way as they are in pie.

Doctor Odyssey has everything this week.

Beach party, unexpected pregnancy, sharks, limb amputations, and a complete electrical failure on the ship....

I used to make multi-berry cobblers at the drop of a hat. The freezer always had a bag of frozen mixed berries and the pantry had Bisquik to create the topping. Much butter, sugar, an egg and a little oil were all you needed. Oh, and ice cream to melt on top when it was fresh out of the oven.

Ooops, dropped my hat….oh John!!

DR JOHN G that was a fun video - although you insulted heifers everywhere.

Moo-a culpa.

Cherries aren't berries - they're stone fruit like apricots, plums, and peaches. If we had a stone fruit TOD, cherries would be #1 for me.

So, you’re saying cherries are the berries, they just aren’t berries.

I do like blueberry pie. I don't have it often.

With lemon juice and nutmeg. Yes, ma’am, that’s mighty fine eating.

I used to make a blueberry pie for my friend Bonnie every year for her birthday, which is close to mine. We were both happy.

Watching an earnest drama called Lost Boundaries. Mel Ferrer plays a black doctor who passes for white.

Today is Michelangelo Buonarotti's 550th Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Mikey!

A Very Happy 550th!  Now, when he reaches his 555th, we really need to PAR-TAY! :D

Jennifer Weiner’s latest book is The Griffin Sisters’ Greatest Hits. My sisters are highly amused.

Do any of y'all ever get those little "splits" in the skin of your fingers during the dry air of winter? And they're so tiny but they hurt like HELL?

I never did until ten years ago. I remember what I was doing at the time, so the time frame is accurate. In comparing notes (see what I did there?) with other musicians, I found it to be a common painful annoyance. Our fingers are always active on expensive toys so it's not convenient to keep moisturizing them, and the little cuts last forever.

Anyhoo, I've had one on the tip of my right index finger for the past week or so, and that's a pretty important finger in piano playing so it gets no relief. And today is the big double header:  a two-hour rehearsal at one school and a performance at another. I can favor it (a.k.a. fake it) at the rehearsal, no big deal there, but the performance is The Little Mermaid in which you almost literally never stop playing. It's not quite Les Miz in that regard, but the second act goes on FOREVER and I will surely be bandaging and nursing my poor little finger tonight.

~~~Quick Finger Recovery Vibes for ChasSmith!!~~~
My dance instructor’s daughter is a high-ranking attorney with the IMF. Apparently she has too much time on her hands. She made several types of macarons lately and sent me some. Raspberry-lime and strawberry-lemonade are my two favorites.
ChasSmith, in years past, friends have told me that they slather lotion on their hands and then put on lightweight cotton gloves before they go to bed.  I've never tried it myself, but it sounds like it could help...if you haven't tried or thought of this already.
Is it possible to create any new medical drama on TV that could NOT be sued as an ER knockoff?
Didn't know your Starfighter script was available, DR Freddie. Just purchased it - in the nick of time before the Amazon boycott.
And for dessert, a small scoop of vanilla ice cream covered in strawberries and blueberries, in honor of today's TOD.
