Best wishes to DR Jason and his family!!!!!!!!

DR JRand cute puppy!

DR Cillaliz re: learning historical stuff on TAR vs going around the world.  Maybe it's just me.  But I don't really want to see them doing historical stuff.  That isn't the essence of what TAR is about.

I checked the list of places they went.  And there are at least three places in Canada.  As well as places like Panama and Belize.

Btw, did you notice that the clues were quite vague (which i think is good).

Well, DR Elmore, I'm still trying to figure out how you can write for an instrument you don't know how to play.  How do you know what it will sound like?  ??? :D

"Him" made Billboard's #6. He was no one hit wonder!
"Answering Machine" also made the top 40.
He also made the top 40 with "Jennifer Tomkins" as lead singer for Street People.

He also wrote the Buoys "Timothy" and the Jets hit "You Got it All" later done by Britney Spears

Put the errant and truant in stocks, by gum and by golly.  We need to send September out with a bang not a whimper.

It's all Jose's fault.  Some blame Canada, we blame Jose.

Jose left me a very nice message on my telephonic device today.

I'm watching Field of Dreams on AMC. I love that movie. I've seen it so many times I can't even count!  I've also visited the site where it was filmed and run the bases...when they said "People will come" they were right. People still visit it and there are sometimes exhibition games there.

Thanks DRs Jane, Jennifer (and earlier DR's) - Pippin is asleep now but had a very confusing day, I am sure.  But he seems pleased to be in a house with NO OTHER DOGS.

Abby the canary is not too sure about the jumping bean she saw out of the corner of her eagle eye....

I had to vote tonight in So You Think You Can Dance...which I think should be called So You Think You Can Choreograph....but anyway, I voted for Nick!

I was looking at my Annette LP's (no zurds among them) and noticed something for the first time.

BABES IN TOYLAND is called an Original Cast Album NOT a soundtrack album, and on the back there is a small sentence that reads:  This soundtrack was recreated in the Sunset Studios by the Original Cast.  Would it be easier and less expensive to re-record the score - or at least the vocals rather than transfer the soundtrack masters?

Why would Disney/Vista do such a thing?

Hmmm that was fun to see again. They're replanted corn in the outfield, now - well part of the outfield, it was owned by someone else and they didn't quite catch the spirit of saving it vs making money on crops, but it's still a cool place.

Thanks again to everyone for their good vibes and well-wishes. I got another call from my dad tonight letting me know that my granny is slightly better tonight than she was this afternoon, but is by no means in the clear.

I think DRVIXMOM was asking about a site that told how to make your DVD player Region Free.

I found this one.  It might be dangerous and I don't know anyone who has tried it, but here you are.

I now have my laptop set up.  I’m a bit uncomfortable but it isn’t too bad.

While driving home this afternoon I noticed smoke in the mountains.  When I turned down the road to our street a sheriff’s car with flashing lights was partially blocking the road.  The sheriff was only letting locals through.  There is a grass fire at the top of the old scenic drive to the I-5 and California.  I’m not concerned by, it just felt strange to be stopped and questioned before driving home.

Goodnight.

What the HELL is going on?  I go out to get a little something to eat.  Eight o'clock, not exactly rush hour.  First I stop at two bookstores to buy a book, which neither has.  Then I decide to go to Koo Koo Roo's, but only because the traffic on Laurel Canyon going to Gelson's is HORRENDOUS.  Why?  Eight-ten and the traffic is horrendous in an area that has no businesses.  Why?

Then I go to Koo Koo Roo's - the parking lot, which is HUGE and services some restaurants and a market and stuff, is packed.  Eight-fifteen and it's packed when it is NEVER packed at that time.  I find a space and go into Koo Koo Roo's.  There are fifteen people waiting in line.  At eight-twenty.  Why?  Normally at eight-twenty it is a ghost town in Koo Koo Roo's, since they close at nine.  I then went to Gelson's, taking another route.  Even Gelson's had double the people they normally have.  Why?  What the HELL is going on?  And I'm afraid it's the stocks for dear readers Jed and Ann.

I spent the early part of the evening re-watching H IS FOR HITCHCOCK. I saw it six or eight months ago and didn't mean to watch the whole thing but I got engrossed in it and just couldn't shut it off.

I had recorded it off TV some time ago. Is it a special feature on one of the Universal DVDs of a Hitchcock film? It should be if it isn't.
