Back from a good show but not as tight as last night and therefore not as many laughs, although they had them at the top of the show, and then the slow cue pick-ups and fumfering and that makes the audience uncomfortable - they did have great reaction to the songs. It's a lesson everyone has to learn - every audience is different, but if you are slow or you fumfer they just won't laugh sa much. Hopefully, our sold out matinee will be back to being sharp.

So, tonight, I worked the till for one of the (paid) bartenders (who can serve mixed drinks) for a Queen tribute band called Mercury Rising.

The opening act was local guy Sam Miller, up and coming stand-up comic who performs all over the country.

He performed a half hour and then the show proper started.

We were told that the band's first set would be a half hour and then there would be a 20 minute intermission, but the band played about an hour and 20 first act, then had the intermission.
