I had two fantastic deliveries yesterday: the new vocal score for Love Life and a book I've wanted for some time. It's usually rather too expensive for me, but I lucked out several weeks ago and found a nice copy on eBay for less than $20.

But congratulations for these! I'm officially jealous.

My blueberry bushes have tiny fruit on them. So, I netted them this morning. Here’s hoping the netting keeps the critters out.

Jen is going to make a bank trip for me when she walks Oscar this afternoon. I guess I had better check my account online first.

TOD:

Beans are more convenient from a can than soaking them overnight, then cooking them sometimes for hours before they’re done. I’m especially thinking of canned white beans that are sometimes needed in salads or soups.

I love canned Skyline Chili.

Canned corn makes it easy for me to have Mexican street corn.

I agree.  I stopped making my own years ago.

Since it's Can Day and also Doris Day's birthday week, from LOVER COME BACK

Carol Templeton:  Believe me, the agency that lands this account is the one that shows Mr. Miller the most attractive can.
[Carol picks up a can of wax and the next scene is a line of dancing girls' derierres]

Why does my darling Jane not ever mention that she read Vegas Can Be Murder? She left s brief review on Goodreads - I rarely go there anymore, but I couldn't remember if I'd put the book on there. Thankfully, I did.

I did, and I said that I liked it.  Plus I made a comment  in reference to the book while I was reading it.

We had a nice day today, mostly just staying walking, shopping, and enjoying all of the beautiful buildings.

After a brief stop in our hotel room we went back out to an area where we had seen the best options for a light dinner.

For the main meal I had a carrot burger with a honey mustard dressing and Keith had the artichoke burger with a blue cheese dressing.  We both thought our burger was delicious.

I don't recall aside from the fact that it was mixed lettuce vs all romaine.

Greetings from Foggy Bottom.

No. That’s not right.

Greetings from Bottom Dollar?

No. Wait. I know. Greetings from Bikini Bottom! Where no one, to my knowledge, has an underwear problem. At least I hope not.

I like canned corn - although I also buy frozen....depends on where I am in the store when I remember I need some.

I also like the petite diced tomatoes with celery, green peppers, and garlic.

Last night I saw a tv ad for a Campbell's Soup I have never tried Fluffy Mac & Cheese - which I will be looking for this week.  Unless I dreamed it.

I started listening to a book called Stone Yard Devotional. It was shortlisted for the Booker, and it’s fascinating. It’s a mix of Rumer Godden, climate change warning and Stephen King horror. It’s from Australia.

The oak pollen is really starting to fall. And the headache that comes with it is forming in my head. I will have to wear a mask when I go outdoors.

It's almost page 5 before 3:30 PM Eastern - and that's not an April Fools joke.
