One of the more spectacular photos from DR JANE.

Did she/Keith take that photo? Or was that from a plane flying over all the balloons?

With the ‘60s end came the end of the great era of instrumental chart hits. Of course there would still be some big ones, but I once did the math and there were more Hot 100 charting instrumental hits in 1961 alone than in all the years from 1970 to the present, combined.

As to 60s songs, in addition to movie songs and show songs, I was very partial to the early 60s pop songs like:

Johnny Get Angry Joanie Sommers
Sealed With a Kiss Brian Hyland
She Cried Jay and the Americans
El Matador Kingson Trio
End of the World Skeeter Davis

All those kinds of songs.

Later, it was all the Bacharach songs, groups like Spanky and Our Gang, The Lovin' Spoonful, Mamas and the Papas, etc.

Across the street, the for sale signs are down and there is a car in the driveway.  I have not seen any trucks of furniture delivered.

More news as available.

Always enjoyed k.d. Lang’s version of Johnny Get Angry

BK, I'm really enjoying seeing segments of the parody musicals from "Outside the Box" popping up in the "shorts" form on YouTube lately!

They are remaking The War of the Roses (1989) as The Roses, with Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch.

I never saw the original, but I'd see this for the two lead actors.
