Jose, you will have to tell the Vixter about Chitty and your Truly Scrumptious friend.  I have mentioned the show but she has shown no interest ( I think she's afraid its a "baby" show)

DR MattH, re: last night's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES.

Well since we get the show on CTV (canadian channel) i was quite sure what i described did not happen elsewhere.  I checked out a few sites, and the transcript will probably be available soon. But one thing I did read (that i did not see) was Doug Savant meeting the rat and attacking it with a shovel.  What I saw was Lynnette planted the rat, and then i guess i missed a scene or two (although it did not stand out). Then like i said, it went right to Alfie at the doctor, and then it showed the endings for all women (including Doug Savant cleaning the house like a madman).  So i had no idea there was that scene since it all made sense.

It was just so weird. Because i knew the show wasn't over at 9:50pm. But then it just repeated the show over.

I don't think DH goes over here, since CTV can alter their commercials to make the show end on time. I know for LOST which is also on CTV, last season we would often get the CTV feed, and then we could turn it to ABC and watch the end again followed by their preview.

If it is, I may have to delay our departure.

Though we are definitely not staying for dinner

Remember we were talking about memorable ABC Movies of the Week at some point last week?

Did anybody report that there is now a book on them called - not very original - THE ABC MOVIE OF THE WEEK COMPANION?

I read about it last night in THE ADVOCATE and just ordered my copy. Looking forward to reading this.

No, there was no scene with Doug Savant and the rat. There was a scene AFTER THE FACT with one of Lynette's children telling her about it, and then her going into the house and seeing it spic and span and his admitting that he did find a rat and killed it with a couple of swats with a shovel. Lynette then took out the garbage and saw the rat at the bottom of the can whereby she paid hommage to its sacrifice in order to get her husband doing his househusband job properly.

Actually, I thought the earlier scene bwteen Lynette and her husband (the "baby vomit" scene) was very funny.

Sounds like a cool book, DR MATTH.  Let us know if it had lots of pictures.

MR BK mentioned The Shores.  I think that's where Patty Duke was living when she met and married Michael Tell.

Interesting day so far. I went used cd shopping in MTL. There were several Bruce Kimmel cds. Among them were susan egan's new cd, judy kuhn's solo and I guess three "rare" cds from the Bay Cities days. Classic Broadway (Which he produced) and Classical Hollywood 1 and Classical Hollywood 2 (which he co-executive produced) Nick Redman also has a hand in those.

I should probably get back to work, since I'm probably missing Barrymore's tonight because I have to get this fershluggenah work done before the holiday anyway.  :(
