Tonight was my last night of social activity since sept 21, and I am ecstatic!  I'm back from a lovely dinner at my fave seafood restaurant, Docks, where I was taken as a belated birthday gift.  I had seafood chowder, grilled tuna, baked potato, slaw, and a wonderful white wine.  A fantastic time was had by all.

I did hear some bad news at dinner, which was saved till the end:  one of my favorite people died yesterday at the age of 93.  I'm heartbroken.  I knew he'd been failing since a stroke several months ago, but I'm still surprised to hear of his death.   I was quite fond of him, and I will miss him enormously.

I've just learned a very dear friend of mine, Time Winters, is doing a one-man show UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL in Portland at Portland Center Stage through Oct 30.  Besides being a very dear man, he's an excellent actor.  All you Oregonians go see him and tell him hello for me.  Please.

Thank you, DRGinny!  I just learned today that the Dawn Powell play you saw was directed by my neighbor Steve Williford!

Please tell him how much I enjoyed it - and see if he can get you a comp!  It reminded me of Sex and the City for our mothers' generation.

Last photo - this one from my 18th floor window in Atlanta.  These ferocious lions greeted me every time I looked out.  Yikes!

bk, be sure to post your before, during, and after photos!  And then spend outrageous sums of money on the products they use on you.

Oh, it was so much fun to spend outrageous amounts of money on the products, even though I said I wasn't going to do that!

Great makeover pics.  Thanks DRGINNY!  I am sure the ladies of the Local Wigwam of the HHW Hee-a-watha were the highlight of the makeup artist's day....if not week!

Watched SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON tonight.  One of my favorite movies from age 10 or so.  Enjoyed it again.  Commentary by James MacArthur, Tommy Kirk, and director Ken Annakin was interesting.

Reminded me of another James MacArthur movie THIRD MAN ON THE MOUNTAIN also with Janet Munro.

Looking around on IMDB - I didn't realize that Janet Munro died at such a young age.....sad.   Also discovered that MOST people are very unsatisfied with the DVD transfer of THIRD MAN ON THE MOUNTAIN.

Ginny, those are wonderful pictures!  As are all of the HHW pictures! ;) Danise, if you can, I'd love to have those two pictures without the arrows, also.  Could you e-mail them to me?

Thank you, dear friend.  Yes, I believe Time is from Eugene.

Actually Lebanon.

But I had to look that up. What a wonderful name. I look his name up and the only movie I saw him was Gremlins 2 despite doing more than 40 films

Donald Feltham just stopped by - he's finally got all his new computer stuff hooked up and there is a brand spanking new radio show up at long last, so check it out.

We're going to tape a radio show next week to plug our new Kritzerland releases - Stages and Harvey Schmidt, and we'll also be doing a radio show devoted to Rewind.
