Well, I wouldn't dream of spoiling ALIAS for those of your who are waiting for the DVDs, but my jaw hit the floor again tonight during the show. How this show can do this week after week is simply amazing. Over-the-top? You bet, but just try to look away!

One thing I'm going to be thankful for this week is TCM for running the four Margaret Rutherford/Miss Marple movies back to back on Tuesday morning. I'll be able to get these on DVDs and not have to watch old, worn taped copies any longer. I doubt Warners is ever going to release them on commercial DVDs. Why do I have to like old movies with limited appeal that will probably never see the light of DVD day (except on my own recordings)?

Matt, I could have sworn that I heard those Rutherford Miss Marple films were coming out on DVD! Maybe I am mistaken. I must find out. I have only seen two those films, but I loved them!

Edna Mae Oliver's MURDER ON A HONEYMOON and MURDER ON THE BLACKBOARD will air on TCM this week to. Those are two fine movies!!!

Hey, MBarnum! They are such fun mysteries, and Dame Maggie chews up the scenery as no one else can. Here's a shot from MURDER AHOY, the least entertaining of the four movies.

Those Edna Mae Oliver mysteries as Hildegarde Withers are fun mysteries, too. She has such a wry way with a line. I've seen those two films but long ago, so I must be sure to watch or record them, too.

Well, I got home and found an empty chat room...  Oh well, I guess I can't really expect people to be in there 3 hours later. :)

The Rutherford/Marple series will make DVD one fine day, just as they did laserdisc.  They are delightful.  Now, let's have just a few more posts so we don't hit a new low.  Just one of those days, I guess, when everyone has better things to do than hang around these parts.

This is actually shocking to me.  Shocking, do you hear.  People, don't you care that if it weren't for Ann, Jed and myself, we would have hit a new low?  I am shocked.  Shocked is what I am.

Just doesn't seem to be happening, Ann.  Never thought I'd see the day, but the HHW crowd has actually run out of things to say for the day! :)

Tomorrow will surely see us bounce back to our usual form.  See (or rather read) all y'all then.

OZ rally here. (Sort of Washington). I knew that Weill and Brel were depressing and oh so hard on the ear(OK to read) but I didn't think it would drive everyone away. Maybe you have to be an actor or singer to appreciate the DRAMA but musically it is so "samey" to the untrained ear. A little goes a  long way IMHO and yes there are songs and performaces of such songs that I do enjoy be W & B.

I think the mail takes about a week Jed. Unless the snow plays a part in non-delivery. This of course means I am prepared to write about anything at the moment.

Only 72 posts needed to make it to a reasonable figure. Anyone would think people had work to go to tomorrow.

Don't know if I have to go to work tomorrow or not.  Just more of the fun of being a substitute teacher... the 6am phone call.

Emigrate Jed. We are so short of teachers here in Melbourne that I could walk in to a job and I am geriatric. Money can't tempt me away from retirement. Teaching would be OK but I could not go back to all the administrative out of classroom pressures. Now I think I am on a chat site and I have never been through that door!

Ah the pressure. The birds want to be fed, the dogs want to be fed and I want to be fed. Retirement has so many pressures. My alarm still wakes me about 5.30 am Jed. Two Dogs!

Door chimes. In comes Company. Over to you guys. Seven posts will give some sort of respectability to the Board. Woofs to Jose from Fosca & Magnus.
