For all the NYCers out there. What is the weather going to be like for the next week? I haven't packed yet and I would like to know what I should need.

Thanks

Hello fellow Dear Readers.

Danise, sorry you are feeling crappy. I hope you get better soon!

BK, I always wondered where twiddling thumbs came from. Now we know.

I emailed DR Kerry a few days ago and have not had a response. He still owes me cake from my birthday in September.

Uh....that post made more sense just below the photo, rather than just below DR MS's query!

Good night, Jane.

Yes, I went over to eBay and puttered around there awhile.

I got tired of being solo!

Jason said that he was going to see SOUVENIR on Sunday.  My dear friends, Sharry and Micheal (who BK and Michael Shayne have met) will also be seeing the show on Sunday.  I wonder if Jason will be going backstage to see Judy Kaye after the show?  If so, they will probably meet him.

DR JOSE what's the BEST move in Who's Got the Pain?

It's all good, but most of it is Mambo and Merengue-based.

However, the lifts in "Shoeless Joe" and "Whatever Lola Wants" are breathtaking.

Shoeless Joe has always been one of my favorite numbers to STAGE and watch!  Is Gloria the only girl in it?  Do the guys lift each other?

I think I am going Wednesday with my friend Gary who some of you met when I was in NYC last time to see Penny's play

But who knows we may change our plans.

I've heard good things about The Little Prince.  There's actually a CD and DVD out of this new opera by Rachel Portman (she wrote the score for the movie, "Chocolat").

As for Peter Pan - it's just the Cathy Rigby tour/version.  Of course, it is her final tour as Peter, so....

Saw a tour about 10 years ago when it played Montreal. Is it  staged any different to take advantage of MSG?

Well, she revised her version of the show a few years ago.  It was shown on A&E, and then released on DVD.  I've heard that the flying rig as MSG will allow her to fly over the audience.

I'm here...the Phantom of the...wait, that's not what I saw tonight! Tonight was WOMAN IN WHITE, which really wasn't that bad of a show. In fact, it's pretty decent. It's not a score that I'd listen to for casual listening, but then again, neither is DAS REINGOLD, and lots o' people dig that Wagner stuff.

The set, while not involving any chandeliers or helicopters, did just what it needed to do. The only times it ever made me queasy was when the images would go one way and the turntable would spin the other. That was my biggest complaint about it.

Ms. Maria Friedman was wonderful, as was Mr. Michael Ball. And DR Danise, I'm sure had he known you were in pain, he'd have sent his good vibes. So, I'll send them for him. :)

DR MattH: I got the DVD today. THANK YOU SO MUCH! (And I LOVE the bonuses) ;)

I really enjoyed "Goodnight and Good Luck"  David Strathairn did an incredible job as Murrow.  The soundtrack was fabulous. I heard it's Rosemary Clooney's band with Dianne Reeves singing. I am going to get it ASAP!
