I'm here...the Phantom of the...wait, that's not what I saw tonight! Tonight was WOMAN IN WHITE, which really wasn't that bad of a show. In fact, it's pretty decent. It's not a score that I'd listen to for casual listening, but then again, neither is DAS REINGOLD, and lots o' people dig that Wagner stuff.
The set, while not involving any chandeliers or helicopters, did just what it needed to do. The only times it ever made me queasy was when the images would go one way and the turntable would spin the other. That was my biggest complaint about it.
Ms. Maria Friedman was wonderful, as was Mr. Michael Ball. And DR Danise, I'm sure had he known you were in pain, he'd have sent his good vibes. So, I'll send them for him.
