JRand55, have you ever seen NORTHWEST PASSAGE? It is quite a good show...and Keith Larsen and Don Burnett are certainly easy on the eyes...a compilation of 3 episodes is showing on TCM today at noon pacific time...called FRONTIER RANGERS, if interested.

That list of shows and films on my DVR is ridiculous, but there just never seems to be enough hours in the day.

Good news for Vixmom and the Vixter. It looks like the Radio City Music Hall lockout has been settled. No possible picket lines to cross. Starting today (or tonight) the orchestra will be back so Saturday's Christmas Spectacular will have a live orchestra. Here is a link to a news article

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051118/ap_en_ot/radio_city_strike;_ylt=ApH_KswvwFrOzb6jLQDq26hX24cA;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl

Good News indeed!!!  I heard this last night on the TV news and actually stood and cheered.  WHEW! What a releif, I did not want to cross a picket line, particularly one so closely associated with dear Jose, yet I certainly didn't want to disappoint the Vixter,   if it hadn't been a Girl Scout related event I probably would have been looking for  a refund before now, but as it stands HOO and RAY!! A LIVE  A LIVE  A LIVE  (that's three alive's a Frankenstein and also Young Frankenstein reference) (and by "LIVE"  my dear friend DR Ronald L. "Snarky" Pulliam,  I mean an non-recorded, non instrument synching, actually performing the act of playing music at the actual moment my ears are actually in their vicinity) orchestra!!!

Radio City here we come!!!!!!!

I've crossed picket lines twice in my life and both were religious picket lines:

picketers protesting MONTY PYTHON'S LIFE OF BRIAN.

picketers protesting THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST.

Got to go throw on some clothes fit for the public to see. I have some errands to run but I shall return (a Douglas MacArthur reference).

I recorded "Smallville" and "Everwood" last night, along with "Joey" and "Will and Grace."

I watched "Survivor: Guatemala", comments about which I posted under "SPOILER" alert last night.

I do have something to say about last night's "E.R.":

SPOILER

SPOILER

I'm really PO'd at NBC for its deliberately misleading promos of this episode.  A plane does crash..somewhere in New York.  But, despite the promos asking us to think that one of "their own" would not survive, ALL survived...at least in that episode, although two are still in limbo regarding injuries...John Stamos is in the hospital and one of the females had smoke inhalation and ignored all warnings to slow down and allow the hospital staff to monitor her.  Maybe she'll die next week?  Or Stamos?

The red herring for me was Kristen "I wanna be Kirstie Alley" Johnson's annoying character rushing out of the hospital to "catch a flight." I just knew that her plane would be the one I saw exploding over the city.  But...NO.  She rushes into the E.R. three-quarters of the way through the show to lend a hand after her flight was either missed or cancelled.

I seldom watch "E.R.", save for "event" episodes.  This one was promoted as an "event"...and it simply wasn't one.  An hour wasted when I might have watched "Joey" and "Will and Grace."

Oh, well.  I still have "Smallville" and "Everwood" to look forward to.

I am so thankful today is Friday.

The week has seemed longer than a week, for some reason.  It's probably because we had a 3-day weekend that started a week ago today.

I much prefer four-day weeks,

For my 4000th post, and as we move into our Thanksgiving season here in the US of A I would just like to tell each and every one of you how grateful I feel to have this lovely group of friends to chat with, to cry with, to laugh with, to spat with.

Thank you all.  When I count my blessings and say my prayers, you are always included.

Even you Ron  :-*

I placed a gi-normous order with Deep Discount DVD last night.

I've completed a couple of series sets from TV faves, and added a bunch of movie titles, as well.

Sigh.

Sale ends today for those who've been putting it off but meant to place an order.

Hooray - I just got an email saying I now have access to sending DR Jason emails at his work address.   (This was after an email from the other day got bounced back.)  Thanks for whatever (if anything) you had to do to make that work, Jason.  And a great early birthday celebration today, too.

I wonder what DR JMK's DW Betsy thought of the new TV.

I wonder if he'll be able to tear himself away from it long enough to post and tell us
