DR Michael B - Mr Sondheim is a songwriter for Madonna, and Liza Minnelli - LOL.

Ha! I am afraid that doesn't help me any! Did he ever write any Bollywood songs?

I had had nothing to eat all day, so after walking home from the theater, I fixed myself a belated lunch and watched some more of DEAD MAN'S FOLLY that I had started last night. Having seen this and read the book a couple of times, I do remember the identity of the murderer, but I'm enjoying seeing how the writer-director is trying to deflect attention away from the guilty parties by planting uninportant information and making it seem important. Fun.

And, yes, I've been extremely errant and truant and truant and errant.   That just happens sometimes.

I had actually tried to post yesterday - which was my day off - but I just "felt" like staying off the computer and/or looking at a computer screen... My eyes needed the rest.  And I think sleeping till Noon... and then taking a power nap around 7:00 also had something to with my absence.

The movie is pretty lame, but Debbie does beautifully with the songs, and that piano solo Chat Everett "plays" is one of the most beautiful piano solos in the movies. (It was the last cut on the first side of the soundtrack LP.)

Perhaps he should write the musical of "Steel Magnolias" Ron. Or "Beaches".

The afternoon has been very quiet since I returned from lunch (a cup of chicken gumbo soup and a toasted reuben on rye).
