OPERATING ON THREE HOURS OF SLEEP
« on: December 07, 2005, 12:12:06 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, hence you are with it and happening, not necessarily in that order, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're off singing Cow Cow Boogie and smoking a cheroot.

DR NURSIE JANE, HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS TODAY!!!!

Good morning, all!  Hello, DR Iris!  Where are you hiding out these days?  It's good to see you with me this morning.

Back to Toyland today and whatever fresh hell the cosmos throws my way.

I've been packing up my stuff and attempting to find a nice affordable home in Southern California, Elmore dear. A nice affordable home in Southern California being the oxymoron of the day.

I have gone through your procedure far too many times, and I always detest the prep.

But, I suspect you're starting to feel back to "normal."

I'll be living in California/New York from now on, gypsy that I am!

Hope you're feeling ok this fine morning.

Thank you Bruce, Tomovovoz, Iris, Ginny, FJL, elmore, DRLaura and MBarnum.  The love the greetings and card.  Yes, there is cake!!  I don’t normally get one so this year I ordered my own, a mini vanilla cake with chocolate chip ice cream from Baskin Robbins.  It is decorated with cheerful little balloons. :D

It’s Wednesday and the morning my hiking group meets, so alas I can’t stay but I shall return later.

At the moment I’m listening to my gift from Keith, a Jo Stafford CD.  He wrapped the case and had the CD waiting for me in the jukebox.

My second gift from Keith was unintentional, I finally caught his cold.  Don’t feel bad for me since it is a mild one and won’t prevent me from enjoying my special day.

I could use good vibes.  Craig's puppy Yogi is very sick and in the hospital.  Plus Craig is in Bulgaria working his way home to Bucharest to be with Yogi.

Craig's gift to me is perfect, he is reading David Copperfield.

I celebrated DRJANE's birthday by having a new tire put on my car.  It drives so much better now.....I didn't realize it was in such bad shape until I took a glance at it Monday and saw threads and bands!!

Whew!

My first question for ASK BK day inspired by the notes.

I am the kind of director who plans ALL blocking out in advance - and then I give it to the actors, then we walk thru making changes as we go.  I also LISTEN to any suggestion an actor makes.

Now....Mr Bisque - are you the kind of director an actor likes?  And part two, are you the kind of actor a director likes?  Give examples.

Glad you  made it through the procedure, DRELMORE.

TAR was okay last night.  I am ready to get some two person teams on the program and get them OUT OF THE COUNTRY!!!  Only one more week of the "family" edition!

Good morning!

A beautiful day here, and it's supposed to get to 50 which will be a great gift. However, snow and other bad things are being forecast for tomorrow. Doubt we'll get the snow (usually doesn't happen when they predict it), but I'll bet it will be a messy day nonetheless.

I do have a question for BK:

I remember your saying a few weeks ago that you had received THE TALES OF HOFFMAN on DVD, but I don't remember any discussion of it at all. I know you've been buried under this onslaught of work, but just wondered if I had missed what you thought.

I got a "surprise" in the mail yesterday - the soundtrack CD to SILK STOCKINGS which I had forgotten I had ordered. I have other Rhino/MGM soundtracks to listen to before I get to it, but it has a place in the stack now.

Continuing to enjoy the lush full sound of SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS.

Yesterday, one of my home projects was to go through the two 1/2 shelves of laserdiscs I still keep downstairs and pull the ones which have been duplicated on DVD. In an ever growing need for shelf space downstairs, these discs just have to go.

I freed up more than half a shelf of space by pulling these duplicates. Of course, the upstairs storage room is ridiculously full.
