Last night FJL, embarked upon a frenzy of sorts, posted:

"I don't understand how Ron Pulliam manages to stretch things out when he's approaching a milestone without making a nuisance of himself."

First, I've never supposed I wasn't being a nuisance as I raced toward a milestone...but I do, on occasion, attempt to say something even if I'm spreading it out over 15 or 20 posts.  :D

Second, if I wasn't being a nuisance, then I owe it all to the fact that I am not French.

:D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

Third, when I do it, I do it with the understanding that most folks won't be bothered about it at all, but I'm aware that some may be irritated by my doing it, but I take comfort in the fact that our illustrious host digs "numbers" (i.e. lots of posts each day).

Fourth, I very much appreciate the compliment.  And I doubt very seriously anyone will have found your similar posts a nuisance.

(Yes, François, I DO read your posts...)

Wow, thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes! What a nice way to wake up in the morning.

I am so grateful and fortunate to belong to such a fantastic, fun  and interesting group of internet friends!!!

Today I shall lounge about in my kurta as long as I am able to until such time as I must hie myself up to Portland where my buddies Terry and Mark (Mark's other half James has his company Christmas party tonight so shall not be joining us) will either take me for a Lebanese dinner or a Peruvian dinner...or McDonalds...we shall see!

I have to rush out now.  Erin will be waiting to cut my hair.  I have grocery items to purchase on the way home so that I can prepare for the office's Christmas ("Holiday") Pot Luck.

It's Monday at 11:30 a.m.  I am going.  I'm baking a walnut/pumpkin cheesecake...probably tonight.  I'm making two kinds of sweet potato souffle...one with yams and one with golden sweet potatoes.

And...I'm flirting with the notion of preparing two coconut custard pies.

And it's "just because" I'm a Christmas junkie and love to spread cheer.

So...Y'all get happy, dammit.  It's "the holidays"!

And The Hollywood Reporter was mixed to negative on The Producers.  I don't put much stock in either trade paper anymore, frankly.

Wow!  Every errand run except for the percussion part, wqhich will happen around 5:00 this evening and the shopping, which will happen thereafter.

I think I'll do some Toyland reporting.

DRMBarnum, I'm glad you're having a sloe-eyed Myran Loy day in your kimono, but your option of MacDonald's for a birthday dinner alarms me.  At least at Burger King you can wear a crown, but you've got to raise your dining standards.

I was going to post a nice long post, then erased everything. Just keeping my opinions to myself, I guess.

However I will say this: DR SWoody is right about McDonalds.

DR SWoody: Do you still have Peggy?

Hello all!

I had a wonderful nights sleep last night.  Today was one of those rare days that I woke up feeling totally refreshed and ready for the day.

I had some of the nicest dreams as well.  I was driving on a trip (to where I don’t know) but the scenery was beautiful!

Happy Birthday to MBarnum!

I hope you have a GREAT day.

Even move wonderful birthday greetings! Thanks!!

I must find some Bollywood Beer! Who knew?

And you will be happy to know that my birthday diner will be at Andina, a Peruvian restaurant on NW Glisan in downtown Portland.

My Internet Explorere is acting up, and AOL keeps kicking me off this site for some reason, but I wanted to get my birthday wishes in to a Bolly Good Fellow.

Since I'm still on a Cy Coleman kick, I'm listening to the BARNUM cast album in honor of the birthday boy.

The screen is getting loopy again.

My screen looks like I'm in the time travel transition section of BUBBLING BROWN SUGAR  (an obscure 1970's jukebox musical treference)

When I turned 13, my meal wish was to have a triple hamburger from McDonald's and two large fries, which turned out to be too much for me.

Now I am over 3-years McDonald's free.

DR SWoody: Do you still have Peggy?
Peggy (full name: Peggy Cassandra Gooch) is still very much with us.  She's a good girl, although she doesn't kiss der B or myself - ever!  She loves to wrastle with Fletcher, to cuddle on occasion, and to get tummy pats.

We've had a couple of nibbles, people interested in adopting her who contact der B via the 'net, but then we don't hear from them again.

Strange, how this post reads.  Strange, DR Rodzinski, because I thought you were well beyond 16.

Of course, you could have meant "Now that I am well over 3-years McDonald's free...

 ;)

Also celebrating her birthday today:

As a kid I always enjoyed the fact that we shared the same birthday!
