THE SHOOP SHOOP SONG

Well, you've read the notes, you're praying for Rosemary's Baby, you feel the frustration, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're off singing O Cow All Ye Faithful.

I was writing this and posted just moments after last night was locked.  Fortunately, I copied it and saved it before I tried to post:

Well, this isn't as exciting as Jose's party [that he had just described at the end of last night], but I found a little salamander (I think) in my garage tonight!  I hadn't been out there in quite a while but I needed to put a DVD into a new case (I have a whole bunch of empty DVD cases that I got from a co-worker who buys a LOT of DVDs, so she got rid of the cases and put all of her DVDs into paper sleeves because she is running out of room in her apartment).

Anyway, I opened the door into the garage and turned on the lights and right in the middle of the walk area was this little salamander-looking thing, slowly walking along the floor!  I called my sister (I'll admit that I overreacted and freaked out a bit...I never saw one up close like that!) and she came over (she just lives next door) and took it outside.  So, that was my weird moment last evening.

I'm a wimp, and I know it. (a Romanovsky and Phillips reference...does anyone know who they were??)

The other thing is that starting tonight, I'll be (yet again) house-and-cat-sitting at the house with no computer. :P And since I no longer have a housemate to watch his own cat (I kept the cat when my housemate got married and moved out because his wife is alergic...and I like the cat), I have to watch two houses with two cats for a week and a half.  I'll be house-sitting from tonight until January 2nd.  The reason that I do it is because they pay...it's always nice to get a little chunk o' change just before Christmas. ;)

Good Morning! (once again)

I think I'm finally coming down my sugar high/rush.  Whew!  Thankfully, I can sleep in a bit tomorrow morning/today.  I do want to make a run to Border's to check on a few things, but that's about it other than the show in the evening.  -In other words, it will be a good day to do laundry.  Ah, well...

As for the Friday Media Check...

Well, the pile of CDs that was sitting on my table/desk last Friday is still sitting there, so...

I haven't even played a Christmas CD yet this season.

DR Jane - Thanks - I think - for the Good Weather Travel Vibes for my trip in January.  ;)

-Frankly, I didn't even consider the weather possibilities when I booked the ticket.  However, I did make sure that if my first flight out from San Francisco was to get delayed and/or cancelled, that there were at least four other planes heading back to Dulles in the following three hours so that I would get back here on time regardless.  I'll just have to wait and see.

Could you bring your computer over to the house your watching and use dial-up connection?  Or borrow a laptop?  Or buy a laptop?  ;)

*Actually, some of those new cheapo laptops are quite nice, and come with the proper basic software programs preloaded on them.

I have cable Internet access, which would be much more difficult to set up than a cable modem, and I can't afford to buy anything like a laptop, yet.  My credit cards will be completely paid off in a few months.  Finally!!  After four years of non-stop paying and with no access to use them, I will be making some purchases shortly thereafter...I'll add a laptop to my list! ;)

Well, if BK is toddling off to his bedroom environment, I guess I shall do the same.  Well...  I mean toddle off to my bedroom environment, not his bedroom environment...

;D

Goodnight.

Good morning, all!  The strike, so far as I know, is over, and I must hie me down to 14th Street to the recording office. make a phone call to my accountant, and if he's in, drop off a package of financial figures.  I also have a fax to send to a partner-in-crime.

My sister-in-law confirmed that Fed Ex delivered my family's gifts, and I have several things to deliver around the building, berginning with the super.  Tonight I have a partyat the home of a co-worker from Barnes & Noble, and tomorrow I sleep late.  I like that.

TOD:
CDs:  Christmas music, tons of it!
DVD:  White Christmas, Royal Ballet Nutcracker
VCR:  Cheap holiday porn (not to be confused with Cheap Christmas Trash)

Also embarrassed that I forgot Penny O's show on the ten best list. I saw something else which I cannot even remember what I saw (something on Broadway) which I didn't especially care for.

So the list again

No particular order

Avenue Q
Souvenir
Good Night and Good Luck
Capote
Spamalot
Jewish Thighs On Broadway
and
Alter Boyz (which I just remembered)

Christmas Eve Eve greetings, all!

TOD - DVD: The Interpreter; CD:  all-Christmas, all-the-time; VCR: a couple of movies featuring Marge and Gower Champion.  I finished that GC book this week and kept thinking how much better it would have been had it not been a re-worked doctoral dissertation.

I'm listening to a Perry Como Christmas compilation.  He's now singing "Love in a Home" from LI'L ABNER.  There's also a 1950s heavenly choir backing hm up.  Heavenly!

Good conversation vibes to MR BK on his chore this morning.  My guess would be that your actor in question is a fan of Dustin Hoffman.
