One of the ladies in that picture (the second from the right) looks exactly like my cousin Annette.

So... is that my cousin Annette?

I don't think so, unless she also goes by the name Bethany.

I got kicked off AOL because I told the real identity of a total jerk on the Court TV discussion boards.   They said if I apologized I could get back on. Instead, I got out a different credit card and went right back on, they did nothing about that.

I used to like AOL, but had a lot of problems, so I left.

All you have to do is register again with a different credit card....that is if you would ever want to go back, not sure why you would

They threatened me but good if I tried to reregister with another card. They would find out and they would cancel me on the spot.

This happened in 1998, the day after our free month trial ended.

I'm wondering if DR DakotaCelt set a record for achieving Jr. Member status so fast?

:)

TPunk, looks like a very fun time. Too bad La Cocina doesn't have the specials anymore. I had a wonderful time there last fall.

Tonight I went to a class about Short films that was intended to get us in the right frame of mind to see the first Siouxland Short Film Festival tomorrow night.   It was really pretty interesting. Everything from some of the very first films, to Chaplin's Easy Street to ...I can't remember the name of it...it was a Salvador Dali thing that started with cutting a woman's eye with a razor blade...to the wonderful German film Black Rider to the Sling Blade short.

It was put on by a second year film student at Columbia who is home for Christmas so he decided to start a film festival.  Tomorrow night the finals will include 10 local submissions and 5 grad student submissions. Should be fun

I do think BK will be out 'til very late, whooping it up with sundried pals, guzzling champagne until the cowz come home. It's positively frazzling to wait for the report of the big First Night!! Fingerz x'd. Nite, all.

I must wussburger as well.  I've had a very long day for my first day back among the somewhat healthy and really shouldn't over do it.   Can't wait to hear about opening night.

Finished watching Akira Kurosawa's 1950 film SCANDAL which sort of rips the paparazzi and scandal sheet magazines....wonderful film...and again I say, that Toshiro Mifune is one heck of an actor and wow, he does make my heart go pitter pat! What a sexy, deep voice he that man has. Whew!

I must seek out more of his early films.
