LOST had an exciting and moving episode tonight about love and loss and with some tense moments as well. Great show!

Squids!
I don't know what's up with these squids today.
Squids!
Who would guess that they'd pin you down that way?
What can't they fight like we did
What's wrong with Sugar Ray
What's the matter with squids today?

Rodzinski, MY REVERIE is my wife's and my song!  It is really the only version of the song I know (other than the Ravel original that it is based on).

Good Evening!

Well... Dollar Wednesday...

Each Wednesday, stage management puts out The Dollar Wednesday Box.  Each person who wishes to play that week writes his/her name on a dollar bill(s).  At intermission, the winner of the previous week's drawing, draws one dollar bill out of the box.  Whoever's bill/name gets drawn is the winner.  And he/she wins the whole kit and kaboodle.

Lately, the average kitty has been around $40.  Not too bad.

Alas, I did now win tonight.  -I've never won.  However, Matt Bogart did, so that was nice.  *We've already had one repeat winner so far in this run.  Must be fixed.  ;)

I wouldn't even date someone who didn't know who Allison Hayes was.

Well...

INVASION had another ultra creepy episode with Sheriff Tom acting irrationally and unsettling things happening to our heroes.

The show has not been performing that well in the ratings given its monster lead-in from LOST, so this may be its only season. Will hate to give it up if it is only a one season show.

I'm laughing FJL.  Difficult for me to do as I"m trying to do my Alan Ladd impression. No I'm not standing on a box. I suspect Dolphins eat squid. Is the collective noun squad?

Well, at least you know who Patti LuPone and Jennifer Holliday are now.

Jose -  I think I heard that Matt Bogart got his Equity card on Skip's show BLANCO at Goodspeed -  OMG, is that really 16 years ago?

...And we had a good show tonight too.  However, during the second act, one of the scrollers started going "crazy"... fff-fft-ff-fft-ffffft-ffftt-ffttt (or something like that)...  Of course, it was most prominent during the quiet moments.  Ah, well... But it eventually stopped sometime during "Good Old Days".

And I have to say that one of my favorite dishes at Legal Seafoods is their Thai-style calamari.

I have far too few dates as it is to eliminate anyone because they don't know Allison Hayes, Stephen SOndheim, or Helen Hayes, for that matter.

It's called desperation!  :D

Question for Ask BK Day...

So, would closing weekend be a good time to come out to LA and see Deceit?

I've started checking out flights, and they're not too bad right now.  Right now, I'm thinking Thursday-Tuesday.  Strangely enough, the JetBlue flights seem to be running the highest.  And I'm intrigued by United's new "p.s." service which promises an unparalleled flight experience on select trans-continental flights (more legroom, better meals, etc.).

We shall see...

-Oh, and the dates I'm looking at are Feb 16-21.

Joe Kolinski wasn't in it at Goodspeed, although Joe did play Blanco in one incarnation.  Bill Parry played Blanco at Goodspeed.  (And both Joe Kolinski and Bill Parry starred in Last Starfighter.)

And I believe Bill Parry is headed for Arena Stage soon to be in The Rainmaker, so everything fits together in degrees of separation.

OK.  When I was at Vassar this past summer for New York Stage & Film, Joe mentioned Blanco.  Good guy.  -And a favorite person of DR elmore too.

Joe Kolinski was in Skip's show Time and Again, both at the Old Globe and at Manhattan Theater Club.
