Good Morning!!

I saw most of the skating last night before falling asleep.  The local news stations are all praising Emily Hughes for landing in 7th place.  I thought her routine was lovely and she projected her sheer joy of being there skating in the Olympics.

I look forward to seeing her again in four years time.

I agree with you. I find her fresh and engaging when she skates, and she has such a positive attitude. (So did sister Sarah when she was competing.)

Good morning!

Pretty day here with clouds mixed with blue sky, and highs in the 60s. Nice.

Well, about that power company mix-up. Last fall, my elderly neighbor across the street passed away. His house number is 3009. My house number is 3000. Someone at the power company mixed up the two numbers and entered the resident at 3000 as the deceased party. Thus, the bank drafts taken from my account to pay my monthly bill ceased, and yet power was still being consumed at my address without payments being made. I hadn't noticed the change because since they weren't drafting money out of my account any more, they also weren't sending me a bill, so that when I tallied my bills and bank statement for the past four months, everything matched up, and I simply didn't notice that a power bill was missing.

Yesterday, I got an automated phone call alerted the dweller of this residence that power was due to be turned off on February 27th due to nonpayment of bills! So, I was on the phone pronto straightening out the whole mess.

Now, I'm back among the living and have squared accounts with the power company. Lesson learned: make sure every utility is paid every single month.

I'm on the phone with Danise.  She is going home today.

She sounds tired from lack of sleep.

The nurse walked in while we were talking.  As soon as Danise is ready she can leave.  They will call a taxi to take her home.

I'll call her this evening since her big plan is to nap once she is home.  Her mother hasn't been sleeping either and Bear has been pacing and crying.

Glad DR Danise is going home. One is usually happier there while recovering from anything.

Thanks for the vibes Jennifer.

Thank goodness it wasn’t the flue.  Keith is much better today.  He slept while I watched the ladies short programs and before I could get to last night’s competition he was up and eating a light dinner.  Well, light by his standards, toast, grapes and chicken noodle soup with vegetables.

It's scheduled to run through June 11th but if the reviews are strong enough I'm sure Roundabout (depending on the availability of Mr. Connick) will try to extend at least through the summer. The show is getting generally good to excellent reviews and since Roundabout hasn't had a real hit since 12 Angry Men I'm sure they will try to lock into this production.

Actually I don't so much care about seeing PAJAMA GAME as much as I just really want to see Harry Connick Jr. in a show...that would just be da bomb, as they say.

MB, you've grown so much just from one trip to New York. You can speak the lingo with the best of them. What's going to happen if you get here again?  ;)

I probably shouldn't have had that last cup of coffee in Gila Bend.

I have three CDs at my office: Wing Sings Dancing Queen, New Guy in Town, and Forever Plaid the Vegas cast. I shall play them all.

The Last Cup of Coffee in Gila Bend...that's the title of my new book

My boss is coming up from Des Moines today and we have 2 meetings over administrative stuff with the court.  I'm mostly there to listen, so it shouldn't be a bad day.   It's supposed to be 55 degrees today. Too bad I can't play hooky!
