Thanks, DR Tomovoz.  Just trying to combat DR Elmore's recent comment that I hadn't been around the block enough to play Stritch.  :)  :)  :)

WRONG SHOW, DR FJL!

But I guess since you mentioned Stritchy, that was your segue from Sunday to Company.

Someone must have thought of A FISTFUL OF MAHLER'S, but this is a family site so I won't go there.

Kay Seurat Seurat - a well-known drag queen at the Gaiety circa 1985 who performed as a tribute to her legs the lovely Sondheim song "We Do Not Belong Together"

Ah!!! Kay Seurat! Just got it! :D

Sorry, sometimes I'm not... Swift enought!

No, mainly since "there" can be the pits... and I'm NOT talking about the orchestra's, Mr Piano Man! ;)

Back from the pick-up rehearsal, which was fine.  I put a new line in tonight, and Tammy will try it out tomorrow.

And, I'll be hornswoggled if we haven't had us a frenzy whilst I've been at rehearsal.

Francois - That joke is, of course, with due deference to Fred Ebb's punch line for the song "Everybody's Girl."

But I have a guest arriving from out of town tomorrow, so I need to head downstairs and get some sleep.

Good night, everyone.

I always think there's a different punchline coming when the piano joke comes around.

All these Swift(y) references remind me of that great lyric "Lazar, but you're joking."

Let's just say it - if Sondheim can rhyme "cigar butt" with "bizarre but" why shouldn't the "Hard Out Here for a Pimp" songwriters be able to rhyme "pimp" with "rent" - I mean, really!

I can picture Desiree Under the Elms - smoking a cigar.

Or was she being birched? Wrong movie - wrong park.

I Apologise if someone else went there earlier. I'm too lazy to check back through the puns etc.

Not only WHY all those Rod Sewart songs but WHY the Barry Manilow album as well..  I know  $$$$$.

Willie Nelson's venture into the genre was to my mind more successful and less pretentious. Nilsson's was better.

Goodnight, all.

It's quite probable that page 15 shall be reached with another meaningless post or two.
