Tsk. No mention of "La La Peace Song," hit here for Al "Show and Tell" Wilson.

Cillaliz-
No doubt. It was some sweet redemption for some smaller schools that the TV guys said didn't belong in the tournament. Bradley U., Wichita State, George Mason... The unpredictability of it all.

My (Siamese) cat has written his biography:

Meowmoires D'un Gai Chat!

YES! The cat's out of the bag! There's a thread here, or is it a leash?! :D

Walking home from Taco Bell, someone was selling some records on the street, and the item I spied and purchased (for a buck) was the soundtrack to a movie I've never heard of and it isn't in reference books, but somehow had a soundtrack on 20th Century Fox Records in 1963. A low-budget movie called LIGHT FANTASTIC, a Joseph H. Levine production. Some pleasant jazzy stuff.

During a game today, the TV announcers got some amusing milage out of the fact that the two schools playing, Bradley and Pittsburgh, as abbreviated on their score graphic read like:

BRAD 27
PITT 20

Hope poor Jennifer Aniston wasn't watching.

Good Morning!

Well, Target was crazy, but not as crazy as the last time I went.  And then we ventured into Brooklyn to get some dinner... And then we found ourselves back on the BQE heading back in Manhattan... Note to self:  Print off the Mapquest directions next time.  ;)

So, we ended up at some place near Columbia University, and had some good burgers.

And now, I'm just going through stuff on my desk, and I should be getting ready for bed shortly since I have rehearsal in the morning...

At 9, I switched over to THE SOPRANOS. Interesting second episode, and one that will undoubtedly be a serious contender for Edie Falco to submit for Emmy consideration.

James Gandolfini gets to experiment with a different accent, too, in this one.

Really, Matt?  I think I was in my late 40s when I switched over to THE SOPRANOS.

Of course, I was 13, when I switched from being a soprano.

Well, I have to be at The Palace in eight hours, so...

*At least I was able to snag a parking space on the non-cleaning side of the street for tomorrow morning.  I was all set to wake up a bit earlier to scout out a space, but after driving around the block a few times... Voila!  Persistence pays off again.

Well.. OK...

Goodnight.

Trivia:  The only Al Wilson hit here was "Do What You Gotta Do" in 1968 and it didn't crack the top 100 in the USA.

Veddy interesting. I just read that O.C. "Little Green Apples" Smith did "La La Peace Song" as well, but Wilson beat him onto the charts.

Oz missed out on "Show and Tell". Sad.

Then it must not have cracked the top 5000 in France!

It should have been sung by Rika Zaraï or Mireille Mathieu!

Was the Hebrew version "Do What You Golgotha Do"?

I doubt it .;)... AND you're the one named Thomas!! :D

A friend in law school used to call Steve and Eydie by the nickname Steve 'n' Needy.  Not that it was true, he just though it was funny.

Time to sing Hatikvah and go to bed.  :)

And remember just because you're parano doesn't mean they're not really out to get you, as Archie Bunker used to sort of say.

It did get airplay.. I did not hear "The Snake" until years later.  (and I wasn't in or on grass!)

I suspect that if La La Peace song was played here it would have been the O C Smith version.
