The unit is filled with 14 extremely loud 20 somethings all of whom have no idea of time management .
They may not all survive until the ceremony....
As Annabelle watched the birds from the lobby door, our 5th floor neighbor Maryann, laden down with several coffees and a small dog she was walking, came to the front door. I left Annabelle sitting on the steps while I ran down to hold the door so she could enter. Maryann was worried because she didn't know the dog's reaction to cats, and I was worried since, as far as I knew, Annabelle had never encountered a dog. Maryann held the leash and walked the dog up the steps to the lobby, the dog and Annabelle calmly touched noses, and Annabelle then followed them down the hall to the elevator. I was very proud of her.
DR Druxy how is the daughter of your future daughter in-law?
Loud 20 somethings....imagine that!
I am making a chicken pasta salad to take to a family reunion tomorrow....it will probably be my last one....
Reunion that is.
It is my father's side of the family and used to be called the ------ Reunion. But now that he is gone.....it's named after a loud mouthed family that belonged to his sister.....none of whom I even know or like....
The are the kind who go on Facebook and say something to get everyone mad and stirred up and then announce grandly that they are leaving Facebook FOREVER and screw the family.
And then just as grandly come back about two weeks later saying it was all a misunderstanding and people (others) should take responsibility for their words and actions.....and they are the same way in real life.

Laundry in the dryer.
I have no news. (Cleaning and laundry are not news.)
TTFN.
JRand, I haven't been to the family reunion on my dad's side of the family for almost 50 years. They tried to get me to come a couple of times, but they offered a two-day notice and the trip was always four more states away. I don't miss it.
But it's time for social dancing tonight. Maybe it'll be better.
Jane, I heard from a friend who just returned from the Alaska cruise on Celebrity Cruises. He said they were REALLY pushing to get people to spend as much money as possible, both the cruise line and the onshore merchants. I've cruised Celebrity and thought it was one of the better lines. Have you have problems like that?

It is why we prefer an all inclusive ship. I don't mind the sales in the shops, this item then that item & at certain times. It is on the entertaining side. What I mind is the constant push to buy the drink package. We don't drink enough soda & the alcohol I like is more expensive & not included in the package. We took one Celebrity cruise & it was most annoying. I suspect all the larger ships are like this now. When we took our first cruise on Princess, when Bryan graduated high school, soda was always free.
We are looking at a small excursion trip to the Galapagos on Celebrity. I had forgotten about the constant push to purchase the drink package. I suspect though a small ship will be different than a big ship.
Sounds like my kind of show, Elmore. The kind where I save money by not going anywhere near it.

It's been a while since I last cruised and things do change, but I never felt under pressure to buy. It was there, yes, and I just accepted it, but it wasn't pushed down my throat. Things may be different now, or it may have just been the staff on my friend's cruise. I can see the attraction of an all-inclusive ship. That includes all drinks, anything else?
Would love to see the VixCouple photo.
I hope Vixmom is still alive and doing well. And the bills are too, too horrible.
Dancing was fairly good. I didn't try any of the smooth dances, polka or the hustle, just too much effort. But the two-step was fun, as were the cha-cha and rumba.
I have no doubt I would hate every second of Moulin Rouge - I hate the movie, which I find tiresome in the extreme. As to the screaming from the balcony, I'm beginning to believe that some of that is pre-recorded - I've heard that in many shows recently, ALWAYS coming from the balcony and always sounding canned. Nothing would surprise me anymore.
It wasn't canned, but I suspect it might be cued like the old TV show APPLAUSE sign. The man sitting next to me in the mezzanine was right in there with the other screamers.
The producers are expecting a big hit. The back rows of the balcony were selling at something like $195/ticket. Who the hell can afford to see a show at that price? I was taken, but I was appalled at the price of my mezzanine seat.
What is this page four malarky?

Great. How was your back?

Somebody slipped me an anti-inflammatory. It helped.
Tart in the oven.
I have to go to a funeral tomorrow. My friend, Bobby, lost his wife to cancer. She graduated a year after I did from Wilson High School in Tacoma.

I'm so sorry, Tom. My condolences to your friend.
I did something to my back. I woke up Friday morning and my lower back was really hurting. I am not sure if it was from lifting heavy things (which i did on Wed and Thurs) or from aquafitness that I did on Thursday. I have been doing all kinds of things to help heal it. But I feel like I am making it worse. If I probably do nothing it will most likely be fine by Monday.
If that's not bad enough, my step-son's wife had a surgical procedure yesterday and was sent home afterward. Later, she was throwing up; passed out, so her husband called an ambulance.
Thankfully, it looks life she'll be okay, too. Apparently she was just dehydrated.
Two in one day. Wow!
Oh my! VIBES TO YOUR FAMILY!

DITTO!
Most of the men that I saw looked really good, just too dark with their fake tans.

Were they walking around in their speedos?

Were they walking around in their speedos?
A few of them were. One was very nice to look at (but again, much, much, much too tanned).

I would rather see them with too much bronzer, than being pasty white.
Feel better vibes DR TCB!
