Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the day of the Do, and now it is time for you to post until the Do cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ATIPTOE!
-
First post after BK.
-
And BK, yes, the notes have posted.
-
Today, the family is getting together at my parents' house, and we'll do our gift exchanging then. I'm sure that we'll play Phase 10.
-
Tomorrow, we'll get together at my sister's house and eat and play cards, then we'll all go home to our respective houses.
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
-
But before I do...
A Very Happy Christmas Eve Day to All!! :D
-
Or, Have a Great Day (if you don't celebrate Christmas)!!
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR George, I loved the Saga of the Headphones!
-
I slept rather well last night, I am quite happy to report.
-
This morning I must step out and get to the bank. It isn't that far a walk, but it will still be a painful ordeal.
-
Annabelle is definitely clogged up with a cold. I had to clean her nose this morning. She will eat dry food, but she's turning down the canned. I hope this passes soon and she will not need to see a vet for a subcutaneous hydration.
-
T.O.D
Chinese food.
-
BK,
Hope you have a nice "do".
I wish I was there to attend.
-
I'm hearing that there is not going to be any DVD/Blu-Ray release of THE IRISHMAN.
If you didn't see it during its very brief theatrical run (to qualify for Oscar), and you don't subscribe to Netfix, there is no way that you can see it.
True or False?
-
Good morning, all.

True or False?
Probably true for a while. Criterion is only now releasing Roma. No word on the last Coen Brothers’ movie and a few other Netflix titles I’d like to see.
-
Thank you, all, for the vibes. We’ll see what the day brings.
-
I've got a few things to get done this morning before I can settle into a relaxed mode for the evening. At some point I'll have to brave running out to the supermarket for just two things. I'll get that done before noon.
-
TCB asked which show I was talking about yesterday.
Wreck the Halls (https://theatreworks.us/shows/display_show.php?show_id=wreckthehalls)
It's an original revue that played successfully throughout December in 2015 and 2017 and again this year.
-
Well, I must get on with my day.
Best VIBES to all. We can all use them.
-
That's a nice set DR CHAS SMITH.
-
ATIPTOE - I think that is a musical notation that Tchaikovsky used in The Nutcracker......
-
I loved the first Star Wars movie - Part Three - and saw a couple of the other ones, but didn't care for them..... And now I am put off by the slavic devotion of the superfans and don't pay too much attention to them.
Now that Disney owns them, I guess any additional stories will be for Disney+......
-
I like Christmas cookies....and hard Christmas candy.....I'm not sure I know of any specific Christmas food....
-
I shall probably make a meat loaf today.
-
Vibes for Annabelle.
-
Thank you, all, for the vibes. We’ll see what the day brings.
Fingers crossed!
-
Page 2 Dance!

I loved the first. After the second, I cared to see no more.

A friend on Facebook posted that he had the same cat tree as my new one, but his cats didn't use the hammock. Annabelle does.
-
I hope I do not jinx this by mentioning it, but my walk to the bank was my first painless walking experience in many weeks. I do not know how much is the result of my stretching and pulling experience in assembling the cat tree on Sunday, but I do know, since it's all neurological, that this could pass at any moment. I hope it does not.
-
Vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Do vibes for MR BK.
-
I slept rather well last night, I am quite happy to report.
Yay.
-
Bruce have a fun Christmas Eve.
-
Cold be gone vibes for Annabelle.
-
I'm sorry to say I didn't get to the Chinese for STAR WARS because that would truly have been memorable. One reason is that I'd been living in my Beverly Hills apartment for a couple of years, and for a while I was more in the habit of going to Westwood or Century City for first run films.
I ended up seeing it at the Plitt in Century City, and probably after its first few weeks. I wasn't in that first wave of audiences because I just wasn't all that excited about that kind of film. I did enjoy it, but it was then a one-time thing for me. Oddly, what I most remembered about it was the then-new and highly touted Dolby sound -- which I simply took to mean noise reduction because that's what the name Dolby meant to me then. But it was more likely the introduction of Dolby surround. After all of these years I'm still unclear on that.
Anyway, I *now* enjoy and appreciate the original trilogy. Several years ago I somehow or other figured out how to find and download the fan-edited bootlegs preserving the original versions in HD. I hear those have even been bettered since then, but it's not like I ever watch them much. I do enjoy having them here if someone else wants to see them, because they certainly do impress.
-
I haven't seen one minute of the prequels or sequels. No interest at all in those. I did get the Blu-ray of THE FORCE AWAKENS because I figured I'd enjoy the 3-D, but I have yet to even do that.
Still have the big laserdisc box set, "The Definitive Edition". It's impressive when seen on the shelf. :)

Christmas Eve afternoon greetings! Yesterday was a very busy day for this elf - baked a pecan pie in the morning, went shopping in the afternoon, and made caramel corn in the evening.
-
This morning Richard and I decorated Christmas cookies while listening to the live broadcast of the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from King's College Cambridge. That boy soprano singing "Once in David's Royal City" gets me every time.
-
We're picking up Rob and Mary Linda later to go to Richard's brother's home in the Cincinnati 'burbs for Christmas Eve dinner. Their son and his wife and their 2 year old daughter are here. We haven't seen them for over a year.
-
Thank you, all, for the vibes. We’ll see what the day brings.
DR John G, your family remains in my thoughts and prayers...
-
We’re aboard a boat for a dolphin tour. The sun has finally put its hat on. It might be a beautiful afternoon.
-
I didn’t care for the original Star Wars. I eventually saw the second two on VHS while sick. No more, thank you.
-
Well, it was only a passing thing. Walking is a painful ordeal again.
-
I walked to the corner bodega for a few things but it was so painful I asked to have the two bags of groceries delivered.
-
Good afternoon.
-
And the word of the day is: ATIPTOE!
THROUGH THE TULIPS?
-
I went out to my car this morning, and it was a block of ice. I guess I missed the warning of freezing temps last night. We may get a snow flurry this evening.
-
I'm up, I'm up - six-and-a-half hours of sleep. Was up at eleven-thirty.
-
Have picked up packages, done banking, and sauce is simmering away, so I'm all caught up now.
-
We rented JUDY to watch tonight.
-

DR TCB, I sent you a message.
-
The good news tonight is that Annabelle ate dinner. I'm very happy.
-
Good news DR ELMORE.
-
My meatloaf and potatoes turned out very well. I was so encouraged, I made a small saucepan of Stove Top stuffing as a side dish.
I am now ready for the next three days.
-
And after all of the discussion here for the past couple of days - I bought a carton of ice cream.
The store didn't have my usual butter pecan, so I purchased the Cookies And Cream which is okay......
-
Sauce vibes for MR BK.
-
The six guests went away......
-
They must be decorating their Christmas bushes.
-
I am DONE with my running around. It’s time to settle back and enjoy a Christmas Eve.
And a cocktail.
-
Sauce is simmering and simmering is sauce.
-
Everything is put away.
-
My former helper gave me a huge box of small jars of jam, specially created for Kritzerland and called Kritzerland Jam.
-
I have gotten almost no Christmas cards this year - very odd.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I've lost three posts in two minutes so clearly the site is still having issues.
-
Merry Christmas Eve to all!
-

Yes, it is.
-
See's Candy was a Christmas food in my family. I haven't had it in several years, though.
-

I've received very few. I don't think people are sending many anymore.
-
My former helper gave me a huge box of small jars of jam, specially created for Kritzerland and called Kritzerland Jam.
What's the connection between jam and KL?
-
I must go wrap, then deliver, a gift.
BBL when, hopefully, the site is working better.
-
Now it's working fine!
Still need to take care of the gift.
TTFN.
-
Rob Berman's dog Hudson sent my cats a Petco gift certificate.
-
This arrived for the kitties today. I keep falling over it.
-
Sauce is simmering, new kitchen high stool is assembled and I'm sitting in it. A little higher than the other but I'm fine with that. Much sturdier and more comfortable.
-
We’re aboard a boat for a dolphin tour. The sun has finally put its hat on. It might be a beautiful afternoon.
What fun. I hope you see lots of dolphins.
-
Well, it was only a passing thing. Walking is a painful ordeal again.
:(
-
I went out to my car this morning, and it was a block of ice. I guess I missed the warning of freezing temps last night. We may get a snow flurry this evening.
:o
Did you go back inside?
-

Yay.

What a clever gift :)
-

See's Candy was an all year round candy in my family.
-
Hudson is very sweet.
-

Those are fun. We had a big one for Sherlock when he was a puppy, and Echo had one to play in elsewhere. They do get in the way-don't hurt yourself.
-
I have gotten almost no Christmas cards this year - very odd.
Maybe one year I will send Christmas cards again. I stopped about I broke my shoulder and just can't get back into the swing of doing them again.
-
Now we barely celebrate Christmas anymore. Tomorrow we will not go to the gym and will go see a movie instead.
-
Pasta is cooking, sauce is pretty much ready and in thirty minutes, people begin arriving.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Server has been checked and rebooted and hopefully all will be well.
-
My favorite Christmas food is my mother's English dark fruitcake. Several months before Christmas she would bake several cakes in tins. Over the months she would add brandy (I think it was brandy) to the cakes and then in December she made a marzipan topping for them. The one served at Christmas dinner had a traditional hard white frosting and then she decorated them with her English Christmas toppings which I have.
-
For some reason my mother gave my sister, who didn't cook much, her recipe book and the best fruit cake ever recipe was lost :(
-
I usually made my mother's cheesecake recipe for Christmas decorating it with my mother's toppings.
-
Bryan's Christmas gifts arrived while we were in Chicago visiting him.
-
Our upstairs neighbor saw them and took them up to her place. Today she delivered them to us along with a plate of cookies. Best of all, along with our upstairs dog.
-
Keith answered the door and I could hear Salty, our upstairs dogs, trying to run inside. I dropped on the entrance way rug and yelled "let him go" and in he charged over to me. I love this dog.
-
Our neighbor said as soon as Salty heard her tell her husband she was going to Jane & Keith's he charged out the door and down the stairs to us, well charged as fast as he could since he was attached to his leash.
-
Once I passed the treat bag I always carry Salty then left me for Keith ;D
-
Renée Zellweger is terrific in JUDY.
-
Keith, guessing what his gift was, opened it tonight so he can use it tomorrow morning. It is a coffee mug that can be set for the temperature you want, and then it keeps the coffee warm. It sits on a little charger when not in use.
-
I am waiting until tomorrow to open my gift. I have a sneaky suspicion it is a new tablet. That is what the box feels like through the gift bag.
-
Renée Zellweger is terrific in JUDY.
I am looking forward to seeing it.
-
We were going to see UNCUT GEMS tomorrow. We like Adam Sandler & the reviews are terrific. After watching a trailer we should see it at home as it might be too difficult to me to hear it all in the theater.
-
Watching It’s a Wonderful Life for the first time in years. Hasn’t lost its charm.
-
The boat trip was peaceful. Felt good. We did see a few dolphins, which is odd because the water should be colder than it is.
-
Sadly, family drama is erupting. One sister refuses to believe Dad is in need of hospice care and is causing stress for the rest of us. And it’s not going to be nice if/when she gets slapped down to reality.
-
Merry Christmas Eve!
-
I'm sorry for your sad news, John. We are there with my MIL now.
-
I gave Leonard a pecan, and he thinks it is the best thing ever.
-
Just wait until he gets his real gift tomorrow.
-
The pastor's wife asked for six dozen cookies for tonight's Christmas Eve Service. Wae-Ling and I spent about 12 hours making them. We made cut-out sugar cookies with royal icing.
-
The Do is Done and was a lot of fun - about twenty people in all, maybe a bit less, which is what I prefer.
-
Merry Christmas
-
I have had 3 hours sleep in the past 48 hours
-
But things are done
-
Time for some sleep
-
Merry Christmas all!
-
Good evening.
-
Merry Christmas, vixmom.
-
DR George, I loved the Saga of the Headphones!
Thanks, Larry...I think.
;)
-
Hi, Tom and Vixmom.
-
Vixmom, I forgot to mention that I received your package! Thank you so much!! I certainly wasn't expecting it. ;D
-
Television during the holidays is not what it used to be.
-
Charlie Brown is still around, but not much else.
-
Charlie Brown is still around, but not much else.
I just turned on my TV for the first time today, and I'm going to watch shows that I've already recorded.
-
Last night I ended up having to watch HOLIDAYS WITH THE HOUGHS. Now Derek is a very talented dancer, and he sings well enough, plus he isn’t bad to look at. However Julianne is over the top sweet and bubbly that it is hard to take. She was so sickening sweet, that I had to send Nick out of the room so he wouldn’t have an insulin reaction.
-
I guess the Christmas special ended when Andy Williams died. I used to love those shows.

I completely agree about her. I didn't see HOLIDAYS WITH THE HOUGHS, but she was a judge on last season's America's Got Talent and was the same way. ::)
-
Now I am watching CHRISTMAS EVE FROM DUKE UNIVERSITY CHAPEL.
-
There must be A Mass on one of these stations.
-

I'm watching Leslie Odom Jr., on the episode of A Little Late with Lilly Singh from the 17th (or is it considered the 18th because it's broadcast after midnight?).
-
Merry Christmas!!

A Very Merry Christmas (or holiday of choice) to Everyone!!
