Thank you, all, for the vibes. We’ll see what the day brings.

Fingers crossed!

I loved the first Star Wars movie - Part Three - and saw a couple of the other ones, but didn't care for them.....  And now I am put off by the slavic devotion of the superfans and don't pay too much attention to them.

Now that Disney owns them, I guess any additional stories will be for Disney+......

I loved the first.  After the second, I cared to see no more.

A friend on Facebook posted that he had the same cat tree as my new one, but his cats didn't use the hammock.  Annabelle does.

I hope I do not jinx this by mentioning it, but my walk to the bank was my first painless walking experience in many weeks.  I do not know how much is the result of my stretching and pulling experience in assembling the cat tree on Sunday, but I do know, since it's all neurological, that this could pass at any moment.  I hope it does not.

I'm sorry to say I didn't get to the Chinese for STAR WARS because that would truly have been memorable. One reason is that I'd been living in my Beverly Hills apartment for a couple of years, and for a while I was more in the habit of going to Westwood or Century City for first run films.

I ended up seeing it at the Plitt in Century City, and probably after its first few weeks. I wasn't in that first wave of audiences because I just wasn't all that excited about that kind of film. I did enjoy it, but it was then a one-time thing for me. Oddly, what I most remembered about it was the then-new and highly touted Dolby sound -- which I simply took to mean noise reduction because that's what the name Dolby meant to me then. But it was more likely the introduction of Dolby surround. After all of these years I'm still unclear on that.

Anyway, I *now* enjoy and appreciate the original trilogy. Several years ago I somehow or other figured out how to find and download the fan-edited bootlegs preserving the original versions in HD. I hear those have even been bettered since then, but it's not like I ever watch them much. I do enjoy having them here if someone else wants to see them, because they certainly do impress.

I haven't seen one minute of the prequels or sequels. No interest at all in those. I did get the Blu-ray of THE FORCE AWAKENS because I figured I'd enjoy the 3-D, but I have yet to even do that.

Still have the big laserdisc box set, "The Definitive Edition". It's impressive when seen on the shelf.  :)

Christmas Eve afternoon greetings!  Yesterday was a very busy day for this elf - baked a pecan pie in the morning, went shopping in the afternoon, and made caramel corn in the evening.

This morning Richard and I decorated Christmas cookies while listening to the live broadcast of the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from King's College Cambridge.  That boy soprano singing "Once in David's Royal City" gets me every time.

We're picking up Rob and Mary Linda later to go to Richard's brother's home in the Cincinnati 'burbs for Christmas Eve dinner.  Their son and his wife and their 2 year old daughter are here.  We haven't seen them for over a year.

We’re aboard a boat for a dolphin tour. The sun has finally put its hat on. It might be a beautiful afternoon.

I didn’t care for the original Star Wars. I eventually saw the second two on VHS while sick. No more, thank you.

Well, it was only a passing thing.  Walking is a painful ordeal again.

I walked to the corner bodega for a few things but it was so painful I asked to have the two bags of groceries delivered.

I went out to my car this morning, and it was a block of ice.  I guess I missed the warning of freezing temps last night.  We may get a snow flurry this evening.

Have picked up packages, done banking, and sauce is simmering away, so I'm all caught up now.

My meatloaf and potatoes turned out very well.  I was so encouraged, I made a small saucepan of Stove Top stuffing as a side dish.

I am now ready for the next three days.
