TOD

Relaxing and recovering. In my case, not recovering from overdoing anything, mostly from too little sleep following the ordeal of managing the feline contingent last night. It was a jungle.

We have a few houseguests who are traditional ones every year. We’ll all enjoy a slow day with some good eating and conversation and more eating and maybe some movie watching and then some more eating.

At some point I will get into some music study to begin preparing for rehearsal of new material tomorrow night. Study today, practice playing it tomorrow.

I wish Vixdad liked sauerkraut.

I love it , especially cooked with cubes of bacon and with caraway seeds...then you throw in maybe a dollop of sour cream when you're eating it with the pork....

Sounds wonderful. But if you think that’s something, try the frenzy at one of the larger and more active Long Island or New Jersey or Westchester or Connecticut diners.

Congrats to DR TCB on his millstone.

I have played Grandpa before - and there is another actor who wants to play it, so he can have all those lines.

It is also the July play and I am directing the June musical, so my rehearsal time would be limited until after that.  I really don't want to put the director at that disadvantage......

Better to have more that can be scraped off than not enough. I wonder if next time you can ask for the cream cheese on the side & put it on yourself.

Has anyone watched "Evil"?  There's a marathon, and I'm debating trying it out or watching Michel Hordern's A Christmas Carol.

🎂  What does that look like?

A birthday cake

I am so glad you can tell what it is.  It looks different than what I put up.  I didn't know at first it was a birthday cake as the international cake is different than our US one, on my tablet anyway.

Mom and I got a few things done today. She got a haircut and found a new pocketbook. We had lunch at an Indian vegetarian place.

That should help her feel better, especially as you were with her.

It was a default choice. The dosa would have taken too long to prepare.

I couldn’t watch Riverdale tonight, even though it’s a show I actually watch. Tonight’s episode had to do with the death of Archie’s dad.

I wrote for four hours, mostly futzing and finessing, and then doing new pages.  Because of the nature of this book, I've done more pages in one day than ever before - more than thirty by the time I do two more.

It’s called Natural History by Michael Gordon. He learned from the Philip Glass school, which isn’t a bad thing.

Thanks for sharing this, DR John G.  I have 2 things to say:

1). The homeless influx in our community means that you can hardly go anywhere without being panhandled - grocery, drug store, post office, library, you name it.

2). The church pictured and discussed is the one in which Richard grew up, we were married, and that we attended until Rob was in high school.  We left around the time they started the Shalom program, but that wasn’t the reason.

Breakfast has arrived, but they really slathered on the cream cheese.  I prefer the amount of cream cheese ratio to be 1/4 of onion, tomato, and lox.  I think this bagel is 3/4 cream cheese.

Personally, I prefer a lot of cream cheese.  Just scrape off what you don't want and save it for later.  You paid for it.

I forgot the Tater Tots!

I actually left my house today and went to the local Taco Time (https://tacotimenw.com/) and got Chop Salad with chicken and a small order of Mexi-Fries (a.k.a. tater tots).  It was all quite delish.

It is interesting to read your take on the article.   When we visit downtown Ashland it is the same situation.

The movie is very different.  I don't remember a lot about it, but Ellie, Jodie Foster's character, is the only one to make the journey in the movie, but in the book, five people actually go.

Jane, if you had been looking for years to find this one, buy another one (at least) now so that you have a spare!
