My favorite Biblical films are Pasolini's The Gospel According to St. Matthew, Zeffirelli's Jesus of Nazareth, and King of Kings. I knew they were kitsch when I saw them as a kid, but I loved The Prodigal with Lana Turner leading the Prodigal Son astray and deMille's Samson and Delilah.
DR George the Pick Your Flavor Pie looks like a fun pie to serve.
Well, this is pretty cool...'Extinct' large blue butterfly successfully reintroduced to UK (https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/13/uk/large-blue-butterfly-intl-scli-gbr-scn/index.html). :)

Thanks, Jane! I hope it turns out well enough!
I watched the entire pie video, very clever and fun. Thanks George.
DR JOHN G I think Lucy was always stirring her coffee and that set Ricky's tith on etch.
I watched PEYTON PLACE last night. I like the movie....but really like the performances of Russ Tamblyn and Diane Varsi a lot.
I love Carol Lynley - but Diane Varsi is so much better in the role of Allison, that they are not even in the same ballpark.
And there are a lot of reaction shots of Russ as Norman that really reveal what he is thinking and what is going on around him. Of course in the book, Norman's mother was a neurotic woman who gave him at least one enema a day.....so his reaction when she calls him in tells us a lot that is not said in the movie....

Maybe you'll be writing the NEXT Harry & Meghan tome DR JOHN G.Say it ain’t so, Joe!
That is some pie DR GEORGE?
The meetings today are setting my teeth on edge.
I had a weird dream last night. I was asked to ghost write a book for a celebrity. As work commenced, it became apparent that a section would have to be written from another perspective. After wrangling it was decided that a second celebrity would need to get involved. The negotiations were more convoluted than the writing. Somewhere along the line, the name suggested was the person I had to sue over my food website, someone I never want to deal with or speak to again. His name was eventually dropped, and the talks continued, but I was quickly losing enthusiasm for the project.
Our favorite waitress served us and other favorite staff stopped by to talk to us.
Got the new Sandy mixes in high-resolution files now so just trying to figure out how we're actually going to do this.
And the word of the day is: DEXTEROUS!
I stopped at the bank yesterday and asked for several rolls of quarters, which I use for laundry and parking meters. I was told that they could only give one roll to a customer due to the nationwide coin shortage. Has anyone experienced this?
Too bad about the shirt, George.
Good luck with the pie. It looks interesting.
Interesting photo, Jane. Were there many customers? I know you eat early; do you know if there's been much of a turn-out later in the evening?
The restaurants I frequent or pass by haven't had a lot of customers, but that could change if people become more comfortable with the idea.

The Federal Reserve has said that it's because so many businesses are closed, but that makes no sense to me, particulary since so many of us use our credit cards for our purchases.
It improved when I added some Hershey's chocolate syrup.
I got there and they had someone at the front door spritzing people's hands with sanitizer as they entered.
It took me a moment to realize that she's my friend Laura!
And not just closed for the night, it was completely closed!
I’m not a fan of the stolid, sanctimonious nature of many biblical epics. Too many don’t seem, well, all that biblical. Or lifelike. Pasolini’s Gospel According to St. Matthew and The Last Temptation of Christ are both intriguing. I also enjoyed Jeremy Sisto’s performance in the miniseries Jesus. Then there’s Monty Python’s Life of Brian, which is cheeky.
I watched to more LGBTQ movies on Amazon Prime.
The first film was called JOHN APPLE JACK. Because of the title I wasn’t expecting much, but it was listed as a comedy so I gave it a try. It was a really delightful film. Nothing terribly original, but nicely done.
George, do you have Amazon Prime? If so, you should really watch this movie.
They keep raising the forecasted temperature for Sunday. It started out last weekend as 90 degrees. Monday it was changed to 92 degrees. Yesterday, it was up to 95 degrees, and tonight they are forecasting 98 degrees for Sunday. That is for Seattle, proper; so the South Sound could go over 100.
I, of course, am calling for heavy rain.
I wonder if it is legal to send coins in the mail?
