My favorite Biblical films are Pasolini's The Gospel According to St. Matthew, Zeffirelli's Jesus of Nazareth, and King of Kings.  I knew they were kitsch when I saw them as a kid, but I loved The Prodigal with Lana Turner leading the Prodigal Son astray and deMille's Samson and Delilah.

I love the song Sam and Delilah by the Gershwins...especially Debbie (Shapiro) Gravitte's version on the live concert, George & Ira Gershwin: A Musical Celebration! :D

I like that video.  I watched a couple of others with similar themes, but I didn't care for them (and the designs) as much.

I had a weird dream last night. I was asked to ghost write a book for a celebrity. As work commenced, it became apparent that a section would have to be written from another perspective. After wrangling it was decided that a second celebrity would need to get involved. The negotiations were more convoluted than the writing. Somewhere along the line, the name suggested was the person I had to sue over my food website, someone I never want to deal with or speak to again. His name was eventually dropped, and the talks continued, but I was quickly losing enthusiasm for the project.

I watched PEYTON PLACE last night.  I like the movie....but really like the performances of Russ Tamblyn and Diane Varsi a lot.

I love Carol Lynley - but Diane Varsi is so much better in the role of Allison, that they are not even in the same ballpark.

And there are a lot of reaction shots of Russ as Norman that really reveal what he is thinking and what is going on around him.  Of course in the book, Norman's mother was a neurotic woman who gave him at least one enema a day.....so his reaction when she calls him in tells us a lot that is not said in the movie....

I agree, DR JRand69.  I've read Peyton Place a couple of times.  The sequel was not so good.

The cats are stoned on catnip.  I sprayed it about while they were having their snack.  Thatch is now zoned out in a chair, Stella's on top of the dresser, and Annabelle's pissed because I carried out the huge carton the Amazon Pantry delivery came in.  They all played in it this afternoon and drove me a little crazy while I unpacked it.

McMenamins next door did the same with their side of the parking so it didn't feel like sitting in a parking lot.
