I slept rather well. I had a long dream about working at Office Outfitters, a Middletown Ohio office supplies company who employed me as a delivery person after most of the major companies around my hometown turned me down for employment because I was over-educated with a master's degree. In the dream, I seemed to have my Drama Book Shop job, dealing with customer service issues, but my two favorite order dept. co-workers Peggy Short and Barbara Crabtree, both long passed away, were deling with major order issues.

Last night we watched the last episode of Midsomer Murders Season 20. set in a failing circus and titled "Send in the Clowns." Annabelle loved it, since she loves the media using Sondheim titles, and Thatch guessed the killer. Stella slept through it.

Well, I just had a terrible fall in the lobby at the mail boxes, and I could not get up.  I lay in the lobby and yelled for help until a nice strong young man in Apt. 1F came to my rescue, lifted me up, told me if I needed help again to call on him, and I came home. I fell on my bad knee, then my bad hip, and my right leg is really screwed up now. I am very lucky I did not all against the hooks on the wall because I could have seriously injured my head.

BIRDY BARNUM seems to have gotten back into the swing of things.  He is singing and dancing today and doing his tricks when requested....

I also put up a new small mirror on the wall outside his cage so that he can see ALL of himself when he wishes.  He spent quite a bit of time admiring himself.....  His other mirrors are smaller and don't give the full Birds Eye View.

The plumber finally showed up to replace my kitchen faucet. He was scheduled for last Thursday, but was a no-show. Rescheduled for 9 this morning. Of course, I rushed through my stretches to be ready for him and thought I'd wait on breakfast until after he left. His son, also a plumber, arrived at 11. The son seems like a nice kid and appears to know what he's doing. He replaced the faucet and installed my new (replacement) water purifier. I can do the water purifier myself, but he did it in a heartbeat, where I have to read the directions and say things like, "Now what is THIS?" He is MUCH  more efficient!

Just read that the amazing Norman Lloyd has passed. People, of course, are all over Facebook, doing the usual "Nooooo!" "This is  a gut punch" "TRAGIC!!!" The man was 106 years old, for heaven's sake. Tragic? Celebrate him - there is nothing tragic in someone passing away after 106 years. I will never understand this stuff - and, of course, none of these moaners actually knew him. I had the pleasure of being in his company many times, thanks to neighbor and friend Tony Slide's parties.

Wow!  106 IS amazing!

Yogurt sometimes upsets my stomach, even the goat yogurt I eat.  This never upsets it.

If more than one person is in the pool I doubt I would use it.  Not because of covid, because I need room to swim my laps.  A few times 2 or 3 children have been in with me but the just play to one side of the pool.

I understand that.  The adults only time will likely only have vaccinated people in the pool.  Except for weekends there are rarely people in the pool so it shouldn't be an issue.  I don't know if my pool aerobics group will start up again.  That is only 4-8 people.

The pool at our clubhouse is now open, with lots of restrictions.

The pool at my condo is not yet open.

We have staff onsite that can monitor things which my have helped get us open.

We were told that ANYONE who would want to use the pool would have to GUARANTEE to stay distanced from each other, and with only one paid staff member on the HOA (the property manager), that's not possible, so they won't open the pool unless the state (county?) relaxes the Covid restrictions. :-\

I can't eat cow's milk yogurt anymore. I recently tried coconut milk yogurt. It wasn't bad at all. I'll buy it again. This one was from Forager's.

Oh my gosh, Elmore, I hope you are okay.  Thank goodness for the nice strong young man who  came to your rescue.  Feel better soon.

Perhaps, when you are feeling better, you should invite the gentleman from 1F upstairs for a cocktail - just to say thank you.
