And the word of the day is: UBIETY!
Oh, Elmore. I'm so sorry to hear about your fall. I'm so glad someone came to your aid. I hope you'll feel better soon.

Mucho Ditto.
That is so scary. Heal quickly!

DITTO!
My appointment was for blood work, including an A1C. I hope my numbers have not gotten worse.
I took a hot bath which was really nice. My right leg is not as screwed up as I thought when I first got up from the floor, and I'm delighted there are no broken bones or concussion. I suspect that I will move more cautiously than I currently do for the next few days.
elmore, yes, that's the DVD. But who sent it?
Ah, you! Thanks. Will try to watch it this evening.

~~~A1C Vibes for Jane!!~~~
I got an email from a sender named "Kimmel Cultural Campus" - and I thought I'd missed some project of BK's!
The first time I remember Richard Widmark was when Lucy Ricardo went grapefruit hunting in his back yard.
BIRDY BARNUM seems to have gotten back into the swing of things. He is singing and dancing today and doing his tricks when requested....
I also put up a new small mirror on the wall outside his cage so that he can see ALL of himself when he wishes. He spent quite a bit of time admiring himself..... His other mirrors are smaller and don't give the full Birds Eye View.
Richard Widmark...he was pretty good in just about everything. And when I happen to see his name in the cast list, I usually give it at least a cursory glance.
Sad report: As people start going back to their prepandemic ways, they’re getting rid of their pets.
Vibes all around and plenty of 'em.
This week the ACC monsters murdered adorable little Keys. I wish I could have saved him.
I’m not great today. I have a stomach ache on the left side. I hope it’s not diverticulitis.
Picked up no packages - motor car started right up, so that was good.
I had a bad night. I didn't fall asleep until 1:30, then woke at 5:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. Ugh!
Message to the Sleep Gods:
Four hours is not enough!!
The plumber finally showed up to replace my kitchen faucet. He was scheduled for last Thursday, but was a no-show. Rescheduled for 9 this morning. Of course, I rushed through my stretches to be ready for him and thought I'd wait on breakfast until after he left. His son, also a plumber, arrived at 11. The son seems like a nice kid and appears to know what he's doing. He replaced the faucet and installed my new (replacement) water purifier. I can do the water purifier myself, but he did it in a heartbeat, where I have to read the directions and say things like, "Now what is THIS?" He is MUCH more efficient!
Just read that the amazing Norman Lloyd has passed. People, of course, are all over Facebook, doing the usual "Nooooo!" "This is a gut punch" "TRAGIC!!!" The man was 106 years old, for heaven's sake. Tragic? Celebrate him - there is nothing tragic in someone passing away after 106 years. I will never understand this stuff - and, of course, none of these moaners actually knew him. I had the pleasure of being in his company many times, thanks to neighbor and friend Tony Slide's parties.
Good battery news from MR BK......which reminds me of a very funny newspaper headline:
BATTERY STOLEN, YOUTH CHARGED
Same from here to both of you - vibes from Manhattan!
He started out as a song-and-dance man. One of his songs had the odd but great title: Father, Get the Hammer, There's a Fly on Baby's Head.
I see a nap in my future.
Certainly more appealing than yogurt.
The pool at my condo is not yet open.
I find myself way over on the very conservative side of all this opening up, personally.
I meant to post this on Mother's Day...
Yogurt sometimes upsets my stomach, even the goat yogurt I eat. This never upsets it.
Finished with my viewing.
Well, I just had a terrible fall in the lobby at the mail boxes, and I could not get up. I lay in the lobby and yelled for help until a nice strong young man in Apt. 1F came to my rescue, lifted me up, told me if I needed help again to call on him, and I came home. I fell on my bad knee, then my bad hip, and my right leg is really screwed up now. I am very lucky I did not all against the hooks on the wall because I could have seriously injured my head.
SIX!!!!!!
Ooh, two new reviews - can't wait to read 'em. Hope you enjoyed the book George.
