Well, you've read the notes, the notes had good vibes, and now it is time for you to post until the good vibe cows come home.
-
Notes prearranged. Perused.
-
And the word of the day is: OVERCOME!
-
TOD: I was pretty antisocial at the beginning of high school owing to my family moving to Atlanta just as I was starting high school. I had a social studies teacher who said he controlled the scoreboard at Atlanta Braves games. Went up and saw him in the booth, he was really cool, showed me around, gave me a media guide of my team, the Pittsburgh Pirates. Good dude.

~~~Continued Breathing Vibes for BK!!~~~
-
After yesterday's J&H matinee performance, we had our cast party at the Centralia O'Blarney's Pub (https://www.oblarneyspub.com/). I had the Chicken Coop (breaded chicken patty on a bun) with fries. It was all quite tasty. Just about everyone in the cast were there, and a good time was had by all.
-
Good morning, all!
-
It's quite chilly this morning, and I like it. Last night I slept quite well in a chilly space undera ton of blankets. Annabelle and Thatch seemed happy as well. Annabelle burrowed down under the blankets and seemed very cozy.
-
Amazon Prime is showing a ton of scary movies for Halloween. Last night I watched Desi Arnaz Jr in House of Long Shadows, with Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Vincent Price, John Carradine, and Richard Todd. The screenplay was based on George M. Cohan's 1913 comedy-thriller Seven Keys to Baldpate.
Between 1900 and the 1930s there were a lot of "comedy-thrillers." Famouse ones include The Thirteenth Chair. The Bat, The Cat and the Canary, The Ghost Train, and The Gorilla. I think they're quite wonderful, especially The Cat and the Canary, which was made into a wonderful Bob Hope movie, and I think they deserve to be seen in productions as stylish as the Frank Langella revival of the 1927 comedy-thriller Dracula.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
Tonight, I will be attending the birthday party of a friend.
-
My podiatrist retired in early June, while I was stuck in the apartment because the street was torn up. At the end of June, I saw a new podiatrist and had a second appointment scheduled in September. Well, the HMO canceled that appointment and I no longer have a podiatrist. Today, I need to see who's now available and make an apointment.
-
BK, I hope they can solve your breathing issues ASAP.
-
DR Laura, The Roads to Loch Lomond sounds quite interesting. The only musicals I know about rebellions against the British are Eileen, which is about the 18th century Irish rebellion, and Dearest Enemy, which s about the 1776 American rebellion.
-
I blame Tiler Peck.
-
I asked the lion what he was doing in my wardrobe.
-
He said, "Narnia business."
-
Good morning, all.
-
I've got a busy Monday ahead of me.
-
Dr. appointment vibes for BK!
-
He said, "Narnia business."
I groaned, but it was a good groan, so I think that's allowed on HHW.
-
More medical vibes for BK!
-
Good morning, all.
I can barely see hte photo, much less read it.
-
Sorry. Will try again.
-
Will it work?
-
No better. Sorry. It’s a crochet suit that can best be described as godawful.
-
Two!
-
Congrats to DR singdaw on his new millstone.
-
Doctor appt. vibes for MR BK.
-
Headache be gone vibes for DR LAURA.
-
That musical sounds good.....a bit Outlander-ish.
-
Folks on Facebook are pointing out that if Trump could "somehow" run for a third term, so could Obama by whatever the logic for Trump is.
-
One local theeder keeps posting viddys of their latest production.....and I am not encouraged to go.
I think they're using tracks.
With luck, my second prescription will be available to pick up from the specialty pharmacy in Portland. If they have it, we can pick it up after the gym and I can begin my first injection today.
I love this song.
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe seven hours of sleep - bit of a rough time getting to sleep.
-
Guess I'll have an English muffin and get all the pills out of the way except the two for later.
-
There used to be a great little spot in L.A.'s Farmers Market called KOKOMO, and they served the best BLT ever, among other tasty sandwiches and such. I think it was in the late 1980s that I was stopping in there now and then.
I have one of their placemat menus somewhere around here. I think they were there for several years, but are sadly long gone now. As I recall, they were on the south side, a little bit behind Du-par's, and had a small counter with several stools.
-
Very slow today. Nobody for the first hour.
-
It’s apparently Nanette Fabray’s birthday. Everyone should play a sing from Make a Wish, Mr. President or Arms and the Girl.
Congrats, Singdaw.
Bruce, the poster arrived on Saturday. I keep forgetting to mention that. Many thanks. I’m off tomorrow to get it framed.
Did The Getaway poster sell?
Fun to see her having fun.
Would that lyric pass muster these days?
I want!
I have my new medication and will soon use the first autoinjector. It looks easy enough to do. I am more concerned about having a reaction. There are so many options this can be an issue :(
-
These CBS commercials for their new show "The Road" makes me think of this wonderful song by my friends Anya Turner and Robert Grusecki. I love her voice, and this song breaks my heart.
Sending vibes that all goes well with the injection.
Vibes for DR JANE.
-
I love that clip....especially at about 1:11 or so a technician is walking around in the background during the take.
-
Nice song DR ELMORE.
-
The Getaway is still available although six people have their eye on it - as even an investment, I'd grab it if it's doable.
-
Back from the doctor and the mail place.
-
Doctor is, of course, unsure of what this is, but as a precaution, he's going to start me on the last of the medicines in a week or so. That one I have to inject once every two weeks. Yikes.
Thank you. Except that I was startled at how much it hurt, so far I don't feel any worse since taking it. Now that I know what to expect I'll be fine with the injection.
-
Vibes for DR JANE.
Sounds like what I am doing though I chose the once a week option. What drug is that?
-
Bruce, are your lungs clear?
-
If Frump wants to run for a third term and is allowed to do so, then the Democrats need to pit him against Barack Obama.
-
Keith got Wordle in three.
-
I like that idea DR ELMORE.
-
Tomorrow I will going to the getting place since it's been about 10 days + since I was there.
-
Ten days is a long time.
-
I wore a mask to my book discussion this evening. Tomorrow I will wear one to the gym, my least favorite place to wear one.
-
The autoimmune disease makes me vulnerable, add prednisone to that and I am more vulnerable. Now this second drug is making me extra vulnerable until I can get the prednisose dose below 20mg.
-
Finally off work.
-
Waiting for an adult beverage.
-
I don’t like said adult beverage.
-
I’m waiting on a bowl of tortilla soup and a chicken-stuffed avocado.
-
Page turn!
-
Four!
-
I don’t like said adult beverage.
Darn.
-
Today is National Black Cat Day.
-
My beverage got better as it watered down in the ice.
-
They used syrups instead of fresh juices. So, it was sweet and flat. But melting took off the edge.
-
I need to get home.
-
I’m tired.
Today is National Black Cat Day.
Cool.
What did you order?
-
It was a Paloma. The grapefruit came from a can. The lime wasn’t good. The tequila was mild. They probably used agave nectar. There was something sweet in there.
Today is National Black Cat Day.
Leonard approves.
Home from the birthday party. Cake and ice cream were consumed.
Good night, friends.
I don't know if a neurologist would know about clear lungs. But thankfully, today was a much better day.
-
Starting That Thing You Do, the director’s cut. I forgot Charlize Theron was in this.
-
I don't know if a neurologist would know about clear lungs. But thankfully, today was a much better day.
That’s good news.
-
Not in the mood to watch anything tonight.
-
Page four???
-
I'm afraid we need more.
-
At the very core.
-
Let's not be a bore.
-
It's really not a chore.
-
Open a new door.
-
Say encore.
-
See how it works?
-
Let's not be jerks.
-
Let's be young turks.
-
With quirks.
-
There might be perks.
-
The full works.
-
No jerks.
-
Or clerks.
-
I’m fading.
-
Good night, all.
-
Days of yore.
-
I’m a rhyme behind.
-
We're a LOT of rhymes behind.
-
And it’s a crime
-
And still on page five, which IS a crime.
-
It's time.
-
And hardly sublime.
-
The clock will soon chime.
-
Let's move on a dime.
-
And get rid of the grime.
-
And then I'll be the happy guy I'm.
-
Suck on a lime.
-
Get me a mime.
-
We're not at our prime.
-
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.
-
Apparently we're stuck in the muck of page five.
-
George has disappeared off the face of the earth, clearly.
-
Well, still fifteen minutes to go.
-
Nobody here but us chickens.
-
And we're the dickens.
-
With easy pickin's.
-
Well, if it isn't page six.
-
Where the HELL is George.
-
Most unseemly.
-
Oh, no! Hopefully, you can find a good new podiatrist, Larry!
-
Where the HELL is George.
I have arrived. ::)
-
My upstairs bathroom is mostly finished.
-
Here's one view:
-
And here's the other:
-
The prodigal George hath arrivethed.
-
'Bout time.
-
Almost midnight.
-
Then we can let it all hang out.
-
An intimate peek at George's terlet.
-
At Evergreen Playhouse, they have a wall in the concessions area that had about a dozen decorative theatrical masks hanging on the wall.
-
Thinking about whether to take the last of the Ny-Quil? Can't hurt, I guess.
-
An intimate peek at George's terlet.
Just not that intimate. ;)
-
Anyway, last night, they said that anyone who wanted a mask (or masks) could take them because they were going to redecorate, and the masks weren't that expensive to begin with.
-
So I took some:
-
They're under one of my curtain rods of mugs when you walk in my front door, just before you come into the living room. :)
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Here's a closer look at the right sides of the masks:
