Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a good call, and now it is time for you to post until the calling cows come home.

Good morning, all!

This computer is like Ol' ManRiver: the bad times just keep rolling along.  Last night i did a back up on one of my LaCie hard drives.  This morning, the hard drive informed me it wasn't completed, my efforts to reject the drive ended up in my relaunching Finder and now half of the hard drive is lost in my computer, I think!

Does anyone use a LaCie backup that shows up on the screen as two icons; one is "compatible" and that's the part i have stuck on my desktop. The other half is lost and sicne i cannpt remember what LaCie calls it, i cannot search for it! Can anyone help?

So, I've lost my backups from 2013 to now, and I am not amused.

I guess I'll be calling the Mac Man and pestering him today.

We were down there for a while. I was on at 5:45 and then couldn't get on again until just now.

Larry, sorry to hear about the ongoing computer woes. I hope MacMan can make things better!

Tomorrow is the closing on my refinancing. This really was a lot simpler process than I thought it was going to be. And I can hardly believe they're sending the person to the house for the closing.

Tonight is the beginning of the Richard Strauss festival at the symphony. I forgot what's on the program tonight, but it should be fun. Strauss for the next four or five weekends.

DR Jane -

I loved the last sentence of the article on Levon:
Levon was finally picked up by Friday at the Winnepeg airport on Thursday.

TOD:

Assuming the Amazon package arrives today, my viewing choices this weekend will be:

GONE GIRL
BOARDWALK EMPIRE, Season 5
FARGO, Season 1

Also, from Netflix, which should have been here yesterday:

THE EQUALIZER

You should have asked if Vixmom could do the transaction. She seems to be the best closer on Long Island  ;D

Richard Strauss doesn't get much better than "Don Juan" for me.

Can't remember when they're doing that, but it's the focus of one program.

(Update)
Well, I just checked the schedule. I may have to miss Don Juan, because it's next weekend, which is also this dance competition. Tonight is the Requiem, then Don Juan, followed by La Valse and finally Heldenleben.

I was very disappointed to see DR Jrand64 so egregiously overlooked in yesterday's nominations.

Well, he doesn't go to Hollywood and play the Nomination Game. He needs to be on Access Hollywood and ET and Ellen and Meridith Viera and The Chew and The Talk and The View and The Real and Wendy Williams. He needs to be seen! It's not about talent, it's about being seen!

Well that was interesting, DR John G.

I read your post and thought, I didn't know that Strauss had written a Requiem!

When I went to the symphony's website, it all became clear. The Requiem being performed tonight is by Mozart!

iSkysoft Data Recovery has found the lost LaCie, but whether or not I can repair it is the issue.

MacMan will know DR ELMORE.....or message DR JOSE on Facebook, he is an Apple guru.

And polish your pennies on the window sill......or if you have them separated, put them in a stack for awhile.
