Went out for Persian food this evening. Had something very weird called Tachine, which was described as a sort of lasagna made with layers of cooked rice with chicken in between. Not a good description of the dish at all. It was a rice dish, but not layered. Instead it was baked with plenty of the house-made yogurt and chicken in a saffron rice mixture and then turned out on a plate. It was not attractive, because the top that you saw was slightly burnt, but the flavors were outstanding. Had never tasted anything like it -- in the best way possible. Loved it.

I think we all know who was doing the applauding at showings of Into the Woods, and it was NOT regular moviegoers, but theater fans who went in there to do exactly that.

Back from a nice fundraising afternoon - raised another two thousand bucks, so that was nice.  Then went to dinner and am finally home, ninety minutes later than I wanted to be.  So, back to writing.  Need to do at least five to seven pages.

Watching "Joyful Noise" with Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah. The two get into a catfight and they start talking about how old the other is. Latifah gets a great line as she says to Dolly, You're so old, "you read the Bible to reminisce."

Wrote four more pages just now - so that's twelve so far.  I'll now take a break and then do two or three more before the end of the evening.  At that point, I'm probably thirty pages or so from the end of the book.  I'm probably going to binge write when I get home tomorrow and try to finish the thirty pages.  Then I can futz and finesse them on Tuesday after rehearsal and get them to Muse Margaret when I'm happy with them.

I just learned that my dear friend and former client, George Dickerson, passed away in New York on January 10th after a long illness.

George was a fine writer and actor. Among his many credits were major roles in BLUE VELVET, AFTER DARK, MY SWEET and a recurring role on HILL STREET BLUES.

Actually, I have a good idea for this book, but the putting it down on paper is tough.

And how about a thesaurus, too? ;)

I obviously have missed a few episodes because all sorts of things have happened that I must have missed.
