Thanks Laura,  I really think it will be.  I do have to say that if I hadn't made the decision to stay home a few days ago I may be disappointed that I'd be here alone.  Now I feel like I totally made the right decision and am excited to make dinner

I told him to cook that stuff and chop it up fine and put it in the gravy.

Hope he doesn't put the neck bones in the gravy

Well, it's time for me to leave work and go home.  I need to do some laundry (again) because tomorrow we're all getting together at my parents' house, but especially because on Friday, my sister (and I think my niece) and I are going to visit our cousin and his wife in Coquille, Oregon.  We won't come back until Monday.  I took that day off from work. :)

Be back later!

I was quite confused, because I know he has a wife, whom I would have expected would cook the turkey.

He said his wife had left several months ago. I guess I am not a nosy neighbor.
I wouldn't have recognized my neighbors at all, much less know if they were married, separated, divorced, or aliens from another planet.

Went out with friends tonight for an annual Thanksgiving Eve bash. It was fun, except for the service, which was atrocious. The kitchen screwed up several entrees and the server disappeared for 30-minute stretches. No water glasses refilled, no drinks refilled, etc.

But again, the company was fun.

Watching a nifty noir called Pitfall with Dick Powell and Lizbeth Scott.

Good news DR TCB!

Continued Miracle Parts 3 & 4 vibes for MR BK.

I am also thinking about seeing VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN......DR ELMORE is probably sitting in the theatre right now.

Thanks, Jack.

Is this scooter smaller? I'm having trouble visualizing it in a relatively small space. (I'm assuming that TCB's apartment isn't palatial, but I could be wrong.)

The main difference is not the size of the scooter, but the fact that this new sccooter has three wheels rather than four.  That allows the scooter to turn on a dime.  But, yes, it is a little smaller.

I can't remember the last time I had a cherry pie made totally from scratch and not from a can of cherry pie filling.

TCB, your niece's fundraiser offers no provision at all for donations?

Not very easily.  Donations can be made to the Danielle Martin Fundraiser Fund at any Key Bank.   Unfortunately, you probablly don't have Key Banks anywhere, but in Washington.

Finished with all my viewing, which was a LOT.  I did go to Gelson's, which, as you might imagine, was a madhouse, but I was in and out of there in six minutes, due to good timing.

Another, problem is that certain branch employees are telling people that they can't accept payments without an account number, which the officer who opened the account told them wasn't necessary!  So money is being turned away.

Tonight is the FULL MOON so watch out for the .... uh .... moon crazies.

So with this strong Gemini Full Moon and its challenging square to Neptune in Pisces, we have to re-align our mind with primal truth.

This square can seem to dissolve our reality but it offers us a chance to see a deeper reality.

At this Full Moon, our Gemini minds want to play with possibilities. Our Sagittarius soul wants to find meaning and purpose. When the two unite, the possibility of finding Wisdom is profound.    :D

It is beautiful out today and we have a lovely view of Mt. Hood.   With the full moon I might be able to see it on m evening walk, depending if the clouds cover the moon or not.

Our local forecaster just showed a satellite photo and there is not a single cloud anywhere over Washington State.

And when the Wells Fargo Wagon arrives today, I hope that their delivery (the new scooter) exceeds DR TCB'S expectations!!

It is wonderful!  It moves easily through the apartment into all the places that the wheelchair can go!

I am soooo happy for you.  Will this only be for indoors?

Officially, yes.

Are you saying that in order for approval for this you aren't permitted to take it outside?

It is more an example of "Don't ask, don't tell."
