I got good news. It's not as bad as I had feared. I am on the schedule for January, since it is not bothering me and the dentist is pretty booked with people who need to get their stuff done this calendar year.

Then to hell with all that mashed food!

Ha! He loves his donuts! Did he say whether the ones I brought were good?

He never mentioned the donuts.  He liked you, though.  I'm sure he wolfed them down and thought they were tasty.  When I see him next, I will drill him about the visit.

LOL! Don't do that, Elmore. I'm sure he liked them. The two I've had were very good.

The stew is finally finished.  In an hour, when it's cooled down, I'll put it into freezer containers.

If it were me, I'd be cooking a small batch of rice right now and taste-testing that stew with it.

Had a really fun and good work session with Kay and John.  I forgot how my paw prints are all over the arrangements - like ALL over them.  And today I adjusted three more so they work better.  It's going to be a really good album and the song choices are always surprising and great.

Then I finally picked up a couple of packages, did some banking, then had chicken tenders, the best they've ever been at Jerry's.  I could have eaten another order, frankly.

And the more Barber I listen to the more I realize he's one of the all-time greats and certainly in my pantheon of American composers.  If I have any Barber on the list, grab it!  If I don't, I may add a couple of things, just to share the wealth.

There will be another list at some point - it's time consuming and I ran out of time, but there's other good stuff - a few days from now.

Listening to the wonderful piano concerto of Ruth Gipps.  I'm now her fan - everything I hear by her is great - if you go to You Tube you can hear a lot of her stuff - very little recorded, most are broadcasts.  Getting this CD with the piano concerto was the craziest experience.  It arrived a week ago and despite the packaging and label film being correct, the actual music on the CD was some post-modern avant garde crap by someone I've never heard of.  Sent back and ordered a copy directly from Amazon rather than a third party seller.  That came and same thing.  I then wrote the label expressing my dismay - they told me there'd been a bad batch and then offered to send me one for free.  I said okay, naturally.  Amazon refunded me, but the third party dealer checked their shelves and found a good copy, so they sent it.  When the extra gets here I'll offer it to whoever may want it.

Listening to the Barber violin concerto, Andre Previn conducting, Gil Shaham playing - beautiful.

This one?

Bruce, did you see my question?

Taking a break from Barberland and listening to some Ravel - his brilliant Valses Nobles et Sentimentales.  I had a different version uploaded that I really hated, but I found a great CD in the closet with Ravel classics on it from Sony Essential Classics - this has selections conducted by Ormandy in his prime and the always great Charles Munch, who conducted the Valses I'm listening to.  An amazing performance in an unbelievable and brilliantly recorded version - every orchestral detail is present and it's so alive and open - gorgeous.

The best news is that the posts for my implants are firmly in place,  the surgeon  opened my  gums to reveal them (So now  I look like that metal teeth Villan from that James Bond movie). But I can arrange to have teeth put on now
