When I got off the phone, I practically begged Nick to go pee.  When I went to the bathroom, so did he!!

WHEW!!

City Vet is open seven days a week.  Aren't any vets in Tacoma on that schedule?

Liliane Montevecchi has died.  She was both a delightful and charming lady and a difficult diva.  She drove me crazy on a Jerome Kern gala in 1985, yet she was kind and delightful whenever I was lucky to run into her after that.

I saw her a couple of years ago at 54 Below.  She was part of the Grand Hotel reunion.  She was delightful!  After the show, I was talking to her and Brent and there was no one to take a photo of the three of us, so Brent took one of me and Miss Montevecchi.

I never heard of any around here who are, and we have the same type of emergency jernt TCB refers to. You’re very fortunate to have that there in the city, DR Elmore.

DR vixmom, the instructions did not say the monitor had to be completely submerged for a minute or more to set off the alarm.  They both work, and one is now set up in the bathtub.  I gave the other to Val and told him to keep it in case someone else was careless as I.

Glad to hear they're working, DR elmore!

I'm leaving early tomorrow for Buffalo.  I thought I might get away from the heat here in Virginia, but the forecast is for the 90's there too.

That is very unusual unless it is a specialty/emergency practice.  You are lucky.

Understandable but I am sure he appreciates the fact you got the flood warning gadget.  I still suggest setting a timer before you turn on the tub so you don't need to use the flood alarm.

Keith was amazingly nice to me after I set the alarm in Chicago for 7:30 and forget to set the clock back an hour.  He did not want to wake up at 6:30 when he had not slept at all the night before.

I splurged on dinner tonight and have continued to eat too much.  I may have walked 12 miles in total today but it will not save me from gaining weight.  I will have to be extremely good tomorrow.

We ran into someone we know at the market the other day and made plans to meet them for dinner tonight.  They cancelled and we were just fine with that :)

Well, I must be off.  I was just going to go home, but my sister told me that the Big Tom's Burgers on the eastside of Olympia is having a Pride fundraiser!  They're donating a certain percentage of all their sales today to (I think she said) the Olympia Pride Foundation!  So, I'm off to Big Tom's for some Pride-supporting food! ;D I told my friend Margo about it and she wants me to pick up a burger and a shake for her, too.

Be back later!
