A friend asked me to read his new novel, so after I put the laundry into the washers and made the bed, I settled down with my bagel and lox to read.  By the end of the first chapter I was hooked.  The bagel was pretty good, too.

Outdoors work:  done. 

The neighbor plowed, I shovel-scraped to clean up (it was a little too wet to pick up with the snowblower), and the sun is doing its work. I hope it does a lot more of said work on all the snow still on the trees before it super-freezes overnight. We’re looking at two consecutive nights in the teens.

Had a chili, cheese, and onion hog dog and some fries and then picked up some packages.  Listening to music and I guess I'll have to get ready soon, as I must be at the club by six and heaven knows what the traffic will be like.

Mediocre barbecue for dinner. Decent brisket, overcooked ribs. The borracho beans were lukewarm. When I took them back, they filled another cup and popped it in the microwave. Oy.
