I don't know how long it'll take to post, but I posted a review for The Creature Wasn't Nice. ;D

I was wondering about that.

I had a weird night of sleep.  I was only up once, but I spent too much of the night awake and trying to get comfortable.

DR JohnG, it's been my experience with both my mother's and father's deaths that the Macbeths were complete horrors.  When my dad's attorney and I set up the estate account in 2007, I was bitching so much about the tsuris and resentment they were stirring up that the banker setting up the account laughed and said, there's one in every estate.

I hope your family can avoid this.

DR FJL, last night you posted you underestimate at times how much your work is valued and the attention people pay to what you feel.

I think you are probably correct, but I would say it has much less to do with financial issues and more to do with low esteem and poor self-image I've had since I was around 3-4 years of age.  My parents when I was born were ill-equipped to be parents, and when my brother Tom was born two years after me, I was left to fend for myself while my mother praised her beautiful new baby, and treated him like a little doll to dress up and coddle, and while my dad - who might have realized that, like Mr Bennett, he had made the wrong match - became an aloof workaholic.

It's about time for kitty cleanup.  I have work on my work table, so I will work on another Patrick Brady chart today.  I hope I can finish it tomorrow.  At some point I need to make a market run.

We’ve got several people coming over tonight. Just the usual suspects. The way I like it.

I, being not so much the all-evening par-tay type, plan on holing up in a private space now and then to be here at the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Bash.

The great thing about this group of people is that they’re regulars, their presence is a nice tradition, and most importantly, they know me. :)  I can sneak off to my room without a word of explanation and no one bats an eye. I just have to make sure I’m downstairs in time for our balls to drop.

For my part, I’m not sorry to kiss the ass end of 2019 goodbye.

There was much good in it — there always is, of course — but these past two (count ‘em) years have been challenging in some ways, and I’m ready for an end to it. The fact that we also enter a new decade is a little bit promising as well.

Sounds painful.

I will be glad to see 2019 gone forever, but I do worry that 2020 will be even worse.  I continue to hope this will be the first year in too many lately that I have been a charity case for my friends and I can pay back the kindness of loans, surprise checks, meals, etc.
