DR George:  Thanks so much for the PBS DVDs.  I sent you a PM but I'm not sure that it went through.

DR Jane, I think the Prednisone is a 10-day course.

I wondered since I have never taken it for inflammation of that kind, just for poison oak.

I'm now reading Contact by Carl Sagan.  I just have a couple of chapters left.  The movie (of course) is really different...but I like them both.

Back from a nice lunch at Talesai, picking up packages and no mail because the USPS person only brought packages and not actual mail - unbelievable that they can get away with this in a place with 450 mail boxes.  So, no important envelope today.

Six of the eight par-tay guests are here, hot and cold snacks are being laid out, the cats (to their displeasure) are holed up in my bedroom for their own and everyone else's good, and we're about three and a half hours till countdown.

Listening to music.  In a bit, I'll probably watch something.  Decided to have a handful of folks over tomorrow at three.  That gives me at least four hours to write, and then I can write a little in the evening, too.

Trying to finish On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous before the end of the year.

I am glad you have time to read.  I have put this book on hold at my library.  I hope you are enjoying it.

It’s very hard hitting and not always easy to be around. That said, the prose is stunning.

The prose is why I put the book on hold.  I can always read some of it and then stop.
