I guess I will go finish my last book of the year.  I wish I liked it better.  I don't hate it.  It is just ok.

Time for me to leave work.  I'm going to my sister's for a while, but I expect that I'll be home before the PBS special starts.

Until later.

I haven't studied the side effects of Metformin - perhaps I should look again.

My sister told me today she wanted me to stop taking it.....of course she is not an MD.

I had good times and bum times this year.....but I cannot complain at all.

This is an EXTRA year that I have been given....every day since May, 2017, is a gift.

I hope to be a better brother and friend and person this year.

It is sadly too late to be a better son - but I was always trying.

I am curious if there is a specific reason she wants you to stop taking it.

This summer I want to keep all the DRAMA onstage and hope to make ANYTHING GOES a great success!

I hope to audition for YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU.....I would like to be Kholenkov.....and then also play Basil in THE DIVINERS.

This is my last year in my three year term - my 21st such term on the board of directors.....if I accept another one, I will be 73 years old when it ends.

That's a LOT of driving!  Of course even if I don't accept - assuming I am even asked - I will still be 73 in three years.

I guess I am still ok without meds as my A1c if 5.8.  So far I have not been able to get it lower.  I am hoping having gotten off of my Protonix it will go down.

I thanked Keith for a very nice year.  We then browsed our calendar and overall it was a pretty good year.

I finished my last book.  My issue was at times the book was jarring when a new paragraph would change characters & scenery without a break.  It makes me wonder if the issue is with my eBook or the hard copy is the same.  I find it very distracting.

Jane, sorry I didn't get back to you about my glasses. I haven't been wearing them.My fault.  I was just disgusted with the incident. I won't be using that optometrist again, but also am annoyed with myself. There have been several times over the years when my new glasses just weren't right at all, but I thought that once I had the cataract surgery my eyes would be normal enough that this wouldn't happen. Not so. I need to put my annoyance behind me and give the new glasses another try, if only for the blue-light benefit.

I have been on Metformin since 2017 and have noticed no side effects....and the third arm is nice to have when I want to drink while using the computer.

LOL.

Tuesday evening greetings!  Early this afternoon I saw our family doctor about this on-going ankle problem.  He prescribed Prednisone and sent me for an x-ray, which has already been read and deemed clear.  I raised my concern of tarsal tunnel syndrome, but he says the diagnostic test (EMG) is very unpleasant and he wants to try meds, stretches, and rest/icing first.

Overall, I’ve had better New Year’s Eves.

Ankle vibes for DR Ginny!

Back from a nice lunch at Talesai, picking up packages and no mail because the USPS person only brought packages and not actual mail - unbelievable that they can get away with this in a place with 450 mail boxes.  So, no important envelope today.

At least they deliver your packages rather than telling you that you must pick them up at the Post Office.

Jane, I've always had problems with certain types of chocolate, mostly the cheaper ones. Better quality chocolate doesn't bother me as long as it's in moderation. You may find that there are some types you can eat, but I also think it's good to get off it for a while.

Sorry, Bruce. I need to bow out, at least for a few hours. I woke up with a sprained left hand. I've had this happen before, but don't know what's causing it. Typing is aggravating it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of HHW!

The Sondheim Philharmonic concert was better the second time around. (The PBS station aired it back to back.) i didn’t care for Katrina Lenk.
