I dodged a bullet this morning. It was glorious, and I was shocked to find that I must not have seen it since I was a kid or maybe just past college age. Certain things seemed familiar, but not "that" familiar, and the amazing thing is that I found myself expecting a song at all the obvious moments. But how beautifully it works as its own pre-Mame self. The look of the film is drop dead gorgeous, and there are some hilarious bits in it. I will NOT let decades go by before my next viewing of it.

I really love that movie!

I am not normally accident prone but yesterday I was vacuuming. I was using the extension to vacuum the stairs. Just as i was going to reach up to hold the vaccum to make sure that it didn't fall it fell right on my shoulder and whacked me super hard.

OMG it hurt. The long handle hit me. I iced it. Took a hot shower. It's not great. But it's much better than I would have thought. It mostly just doesn't feel great to sleep.
