The website said you had to have your face covered in the park. But no one had their faced covered (present company excepted) and there were several families with small children not practicing social distancing.

Sigh.  Was it difficult for you to social distance from them?

Most of Iowa is open for business now.  It's limited, but I was able to stop and say hey to my friend Clyde the barber today and the salon in our building.  They were all grinning from ear to ear to be able to work again. Clyde opened for a couple days, then he's closing to get Covid-19 certified.  They have classes that barbers and hair stylists can take to learn exactly how to keep themselves and their clients safe

Yesterday I started coming out of my grief funk.  Today was even better.  I think all the diet coke helped

I am glad and hope it lasts.

Jane,
It wasn't just a particular vet at the place I didn't like.  It was the way they treated Callie, didn't listen to me about what would freak her out and the general attitude.  I think they were a little rough with her. it wasn't long after that we discovered the bones in her pelvis had compressed even more and she wasn't going to be able to make it.  While it may not have been their fault, I've always felt that if they had listened to me about how to handle her and not been like they were, she may have lived longer.  I may not be right about that but it's not something I can shake and I need to go visit the first vet I had and see if they will take me back.

I had problems with their care too, but they do a lot of work in saving animals that are rescued and I've started to think that what I thought was using the wrong enema, may have been the only thing they could do to try to keep her alive.  It worked.  She lived another 12 years after that.

Vibes you are pleased with the first vet when you return.  I would be shocked if they didn't take you back.

Apparently everyone he spoke to in the office asked him if he was going to quarantine himself before coming in

Understandable.   Did you also ask him?

He has announced he will quarantine himself in his office, it has a private entrance and its own bathroom.

That should work.

And George,  good work attending the meeting in your car.

Thanks, Jane!  I had attended a meeting on my phone when I was at home, so I knew that at least it would work.  And, I happened to be close to a free wi-fi signal, so I didn't have to use any of my data. :)

"THE MEETING IN HIS CAR" sounds like a title of one of those "don't let this happen to you at work" videos.

Actually, I wasn't the first to attend a Zoom meeting in a car.  For one of the first meetings, another co-worker sat in her car.  I'm sure she had a good reason, but I don't remember what it could've been.

This was a curious dream, since I've been having panic attacks for the past several days about finances:  I've got surgery pending in two weeks, I have no money at the moment, no word on the PUA program, and when ny Social Security arrives, there isn't enough to pay the rent, my life insurance, my health insurance,. or my bills for cell phone, Time Warner, and utilities.  What do I pay?

I've been very frightened and very unhappy.  Only the cats see me cry.

So, just now, literally 10 minutes ago, I got a call from the NY State Dept. of Labor.  My PUA has been approved, and payments should begin next Monday or Tuesday.  It was a huge weight off my shoulders.

Great news, Larry!! :D

My cousin and her husband were going to come over for a visit tonight.  I said that would be nice.

Then she said her niece was coming.

Her niece sells some kind of AMWAY TYPE HEALTH SUPPLEMENT....that she endlessly badgers people to buy.  The last time she was here was shortly before my father passed away.

She wouldn't shut up about it and kept trying to get my mom to buy it.....finally they left.  My mom was upset for weeks about it.

When my cousin said her niece was coming - I suddenly decided I didn't want to see them.

It was awful and my Mom hated it......and never spoke to the niece again and barely spoke to my cousin.

That's terrible!  Why do people (your niece) have to be that way? >:(

I just called my hours in to Suad, and she told me she had not cancelled my food deliveries, so I guess on Sunday I'll see another!

Nice!

She also told me, when she logged onto my unemployment page how much I'm getting and I nearly fell over. Much, much more than I ever expected, and I was expecting with luck about $100/week.

Really??  That's fantastic, Larry!

Two Zoom meetings are done and I need FOOD.  Maybe Jersey Mike's today - don't feel like pasta here.

I actually went to Jersey Mike's today, too!
