I didn't sleep well last night.  There was a lot of tossing and turning.  I do remember one dream in which Encores! was rehearsing Jubilee.  The conductor was Jim Martin, with whom I started up Middletown Lyric Theatre in 1978 or so.  I guess Rob Berman was busy with something else, but Joshie was in the dream.

I spent yesterday evening in a just-controlled state of panic and dread because of the wide band of storms marching across the northeast and, thankfully, ultimately keeping their most violent activity to the north of us. It wasn't lost on anyone around here that May 15th was the two-year anniversary of the most violent and damaging weather many of us have known.

Today is gorgeous, with an expected high of around 75. And we'd better enjoy it because it drops again tomorrow and for the next several days.

I heard there were tornado warnings last night.  Every time I hear of one, I wonder when/if NYC will be hit.

Yes, I said it.....SO WHAT!

I watched THE VIOLENT YEARS on Epix yesterday and learned about the 50's problem of high school girls in their 30's who wear tight sweaters and bandanas and hold up gas stations.....and the police think they're a band of BOYS....

They also stalk men on lover's lane and force them to have sex while they tie up their girlfriends with their own sweaters and skirts....

And then they break into school and erase the blackboard and turn over the desks at the behest of the local communist front....before having a shoot out with the police....

And then....and then.....well.....SO WHAT! as the leading girl says before she gives birth to a daughter and then dies in prison......

It's a VIOLENT HOUR AND FIVE MINUTES......
