BK, The Brides of Dracula and the more perverse Vampire Circus are my two favorite Hammer films.  I also love Carry On Cleo.  I think the Carry On films are hit or miss, but I'd put Carry On Cleo, Carry On Cowboy, and Carry On Screaming as my faves.

I love those two Hammers, too, and the color cinematography has a lot to do with it. Brides, especially, is known for its purples and lavenders, deep focus, and overall splendor.

About fifteen years ago I saw Brides at a weekend long horror festival at the wonderful Lafayette Theater in Suffern, NY. They were all film, nothing digital, and as I recall it, Universal sent them a freshly made print of that one. It was expertly projected, as always, by Peter A. whose last name I always have to look up to know I’m spelling it correctly, and the audience ate it up.

I read the gentleman's name as Peter A. Whore.

I finished Middlemarch.  My, but that last episode worked hard to tie up all the plot! And there was a helluca lot to tie up.  I enjoyed it.  I just realized I have The Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion to watch.  The Ghost and Mrs Muir wait for tomorrow.

From the sublime to the whatever.

Definitely ridiculous, but I love The Real Housewives of Atlanta! Even though my bitch niece is on The Real Housewives of Orange County, I'll never watch it because of all her bullshit and lies to give heraelf something for the publicity.  Her latest photos appear to show a boob job (very common on The Real Housewives franchise), liposuction or a severe diet, and face work.

And they filmed it on the sets of Taylor-Burton Cleopatra when it originally started filming in England

DR ELMORE my father used a surgery pillow after his heart surgery and it was most helpful.....of course we have a closet to keep it in....  I used it for a bit myself.

I have no idea what she's even ordered!

Does she ever visit you at the apartment?  If not, say thank you, and give them away.

No.  She's a retired teacher in Ohio.

Some people just don't understand space limitations.  Crazy Aunt Bertha sent me a housewarming gift, but I just had to say no.

I remember I saw That's Carry On in a little town in Portugal in 1980. It was in English with Portuguese subtitles. I was basically the only one in the cinema who was laughing. Comedy really does lose something in translation.

I just found a complete video of the 1998 San Jose production of Follies. which, even out of focus, is so much better than the last Broadway revival.  Harvey Evans and my friend Walter Charles play Buddy and Ben.

This San Jose company has a lot of complete musicals on video!  Their On The Twentieth Century looks great, with my friends Mark Jacoby and Judy Blazer as Oscar and Lily.

Good afternoon.  It was a rainy cold morning so I didn't think the guys would come to fix the flashing around a window on my roof.  So I went to the grocery store and before I got home they were calling me.  So, they got that fixed and fixes and down spout that wasn't working right.  They were going to replace some shakes that are around my windows, but if I start that we need to replace them all and I just don't want to do that right now.  I paid them a little extra because they anticipated a bigger job that I didn't change until they got here. and they were fine with that. They did good work and with the tip I'm sure they'll come back if I need more done.  They were very nice

I am surprised as it is a Sunday.

Wearing a mask makes me dizzy.

What kind are you wearing?  Do you find you are breathing harder with it on?

Better go, the cats were pretty excited about men working outside on the house.  They are telling me all about it and I think they have decided they need a treat for putting up with pounding and sawing and seeing men on ladders

It was "avatar" that confused me.  If wasn't paying enough attention to notice they are often called that.

Norm Lewis is the featured artist of today's Lincoln Center #MemorialforUsAll. It's about 15 minutes.

I'm thinking I might go to the arboretum next week and take my camera for a walk. I haven't done that in months.

Just had a fun conversation with Muse Margaret about the current situation here in LA and what we both think of our governor and mayor, which is not much.  You probably don't want to hear the rest of the conversation :)
