Started watching Troilus and Cressida on YouTube.

I had to stop the first version, because they had turned it into a musical and the Troilus had a really bland falsetto that was barely audible. No.

The second version seemed to be a camped out space version with a really bad drag queen shaky in his stilettos as the narrator. No.

The third version had the entire cast reading the prologue and not together so that it was incomprehensible. No.

On to the fourth, which is not staged. It's a zoom version, but I like the actors at least.

My new vacuum cleaner arrived yesterday, and this morning I assembled it, vacuumed the apartment, and then stepped into a cool bath to rinse off and cool off. I'm going to work on my orchestration for a while, then feed the cats. At that time I will clean the kitchen. I may take another bath before Midsomer Murders at 8:00.

I have made it an hour into this fourth version of Troilus and Cressida. The boxing ring has not made a second appearance, but when Troy starts to fight the Greeks, we may see it return. I do like a Shakespeare cast that finds the double entendre is just every other line.

My birding buddy is also having surgery on Monday. She has been waiting for months to get the AFIB issue fixed. We only got to bird once this season, and she struggled with that.

Saturday afternoon greetings! I was up and online by 10 this morning to moderate a Zoom discussion of AAUW's Work Smart online salary negotiation course. Our turnout was low, but we had enough people to have a discussion and we learned a lot about doing a virtual event.

I accompanied Richard to the Kroger drive-up pharmacy and, on the way home, we said a drive-up goodbye to our friends Michelle and Kent. They were having a moving sale today in preparation for their move to Tucson, AZ. Rob and their son were good friends all through school and we will miss them.
