I decided to stop fretting about the laundry and just do it.  The remainder of my day is all set now.

Friday afternoon greetings!  Much to my surprise, pictures of CBP and her parents started showing up on Facebook this morning, so I've shared one on my page (after receiving permission, of course!).

DR Cillaliz, I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to you Mom.  The aging-parent waters are turbulent, for sure, and I wish you all the best as you navigate them.

DR CILLA LIZ - wow!  Glad your Mom is okay. That is a scary story.
Kitty vibes as well!
Thanks JRand and thanks to Tom for the prayers last night.  This one is the hardest for me.  My mom is my best friend. I call her every day.  I've almost lost her to dementia and now this. I'm afraid she doesn't want to get better and with Dad's first birthday after he died is coming up next week, I hope it isn't all too much for her.   My heart is broken

Thanks Ginny.  It's only been a little over 6 months since my sister died, then dad 105 days later and now mom's final downward spiral has definitely begun.  It's just too much in this short period of time.

I'm up, I'm up - six-and-a-half hours of sleep - I may try for another hour.

got a better report on mom. She's stronger today. I'm going up tomorrow to give her caretaker a break. It will be good to spend the day with her

I am pleased both that your mother is stronger today and that you can spend tomorrow with her.

The rugs went back for a second turn in the dryers, and I put in the first load of clothes.  In ten minutes, I'll put in the second and final load.

I don't think that there's any such thing as too many another hours. ;D

Laundry is finished and put away!  I am very happy it's over.  And on my last trip to the basement I ran into a nice young man with a foreign accent who had just finished repairing the front door buzzer. All is good.

Did an hour in the garage - just getting stuff out of the way so I can actually look for what I'm looking for, which will be tomorrow's work.
