Hmmmm I don't notice the two Frances Farmer appearances on Ed Sullivan on the list....I would have thought they would have been the first ones digitized and put out there....just to meet the demand.

I went to acupuncture today, then stopped for some Italian food to go. They've opened for lunch now, dine-in. Last week they opened for dinner for the first time since the lockdown. They're a bit expensive, but offer a real bargain for lunchtime take-out. I'm happy with take-out and enjoy the bargain price ($7).

Jane, what sort of masks did you decide on? When Covid hit the US it was a scramble to find a mask, period. A few weeks ago I realized I needed a mini mask wardrobe. I've been using a washable allergy mask, but used a disposable mask yesterday at the hairdresser. I think I'll want to wear a mask for some time.

Today's cutest mask:
A handmade mask of comic book characters, which said "Bam!" and "Ka-pow!" The wearer told me that the characters are fighting the virus, keeping it at bay.

In support of the hospital workers I did not buy a mask.  Later a neighbor/friend gave us some plain hospital masks to use while we waited for the ones Keith ordered online.  They are basically the same except the ones from our friend are smaller.  I use those while Keith uses the regular size.  To go grocery shopping where not everyone wears a mask, we wear the N19 ones Bryan sent from his personal supply.  At Costco yesterday we felt comfortable wearing the plain ones.

I suppose our mask are disposable but we air them out for days before wearing them again.

We also have cloth ones a friend made but find them less comfortable though they are more attractive and can be washed.

I find my allergy (cloth) masks pretty comfortable, but some people get warm in cloth masks and prefer the paper. I've heard some people wash the paper masks by hand. I sprayed mine with disinfectant, then reused it, but I don't know how effective that is.

We initially did that.  I think giving the germs time to dry works.

Laundry is finished and put away!  I am very happy it's over.  And on my last trip to the basement I ran into a nice young man with a foreign accent who had just finished repairing the front door buzzer. All is good.

Nice.

Friday afternoon greetings!  Much to my surprise, pictures of CBP and her parents started showing up on Facebook this morning, so I've shared one on my page (after receiving permission, of course!).

I went and looked at the sweet photo :)

At first glance, I thought you said you’d looked at the sweet potato.

TOD - we just watched “JoJo Rabbit,” a very peculiar movie.

And I’ve been meaning to mention James Taylor’s new CD, “American Standard.”  Richard got it from the library in our first curbside pick up and we listened to it in the car.  I liked it so much I bought it from Apple Music for my phone.

Vibes for DR Cillaliz's mom. I am so sorry!  How on earth did nobody notice her for 12-18 hours?  If she decides to stay home then maybe she can check in with someone every few hours. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

DR CILLA LIZ - wow!  Glad your Mom is okay. That is a scary story.
Kitty vibes as well!
Thanks JRand and thanks to Tom for the prayers last night.  This one is the hardest for me.  My mom is my best friend. I call her every day.  I've almost lost her to dementia and now this. I'm afraid she doesn't want to get better and with Dad's first birthday after he died is coming up next week, I hope it isn't all too much for her.   My heart is broken

{{{HUGS!!}}}

And more hugs.
Thanks John.  I'm looking forward to seeing her tomorrow. They are leaving me a whole list about how to care for her and this is only for a day.   I'll stay until her night caretaker arrives

Their house is up long driveway through the trees.  If someone went bu on the street, they probably wouldn't have noticed her.  It's also a quiet neighborhood with no traffic.  Her caretaker was there until late afternoon.  She was fine in the house and was under strict instructions not to go outside but she's pretty stubborn and decided she wanted some peonies so she went out. It was early evening as she had turned on the outside lights.  When her caretaker arrived she saw the lights on and the door open and then saw mom and her cat in the driveway. It's not surprising no one saw her and she had been told many times if she fell, no one would see her until Krista arrived - which is what happened.  Of course she was also told if she fell she'd go to the nursing home, but we're still trying everything to avoid that as no one wants that for her, especially now. My brother found someone to spend the night so Krista could go home to her own family at night.   Mom goes back to the doctor on the 23rd.  I guess she's improving and they are hoping she can be alone while she sleeps.
