I actually went to bed early last night. I had to choose a not-so-interesting book, so I could put it down at a reasonable hour. I slept well for almost 8 hours. It was heavenly. Perhaps I need to read dullish books more often.

I wish that helped me.

I'm up, I'm up - didn't get up until two, after ten hours of sleep.  Feeling so much better these past three days.

Think of us that suffer from insomnia.  We rarely feel better ;D

Jane, you don't feel that Bruce qualifies as an insomniac?

He goes to bed late but then usually sleeps a total of eight or more hours.

George & Tom did you receive your ballots today?  I have a friend in Olympia who received hers.

They don't take up too much room.

In the head, they can take up too much room.

Picked up a couple of packages, made hot dogs and ate them (very good), and in about twenty minutes I'll watch something.

Sylvia Scarlett is dreadful. Great cast. Everything about the script is lousy. I'm surprised to see John Collier's name on it.

We were speaking of pet fostering earlier. I have a friend who fostered 4 kittens and ended up keeping two.

Now she is fostering 3 more kittens.

Having finished a mini-series of "Pride and Prejudice," which I had never seen, but enjoyed, we have started on "Jane Eyre."

That's how I got Joshie. And Sasha. And Sassy.

I always expect DC Leonard to come leaping out of that box.

Superstitious and silly, but I have heard that shelters find the black cats to be the most difficult to get adopted out.

He played in that box for one day. That's as long as his interest is in any toy.

That's because black cats are boring. I tell Leonard that. And he purrs at me.

This is why we are not fostering though I feel very guilty about this fact.  Also I am on 3 different medications for my eyes and cats do tend to make them itchy and swollen.

Black dogs, too. I think it's partially because their features aren't as pronounced in the mugshot for the websites.

This is true due to stupid superstitions.  Of all the cats they must really be kept inside and safe on Halloween.

That flopping fish toy -- he played with it before it was charged up. After it charged up and flopped, he looked at it and walked away.

I never had a problem letting the fosters go. Because I guess I am cold and unfeeling.

My excitement for the day was purchasing some new plastic cutting boards at cuttingboards.com.

You can choose a custom material and size and thickness, and all sorts of options for customizing.

It was time.
