From DR George yesterday "Matthew (and anyone else interested), did you know that ALW started to write a version of Aspects of Love in the early 1980s with Tim Rice? When that didn't happen, Trevor Nunn wrote some lyrics, and a couple of YouTube videos are out there:"I Don't Talk to Strangers," with lyrics by Tim Rice (this was an actual released recording)"Married Man," with Trevor Nunn lyrics, performed live on The Merv Griffin ShowWhen THAT didn't happen, most of the music went into the version of The Phantom of the Opera that everyone now knows (plus a little Fanciulla del West. "Yes I did know that. Tim Rice thought he was working on Aspects of Love and all of a sudden the melodies he set were in another show! He was quite surprised.
