I enjoyed your show last night, BK. I don't know if you can tell I watched it.

I have to say, though, that there is only one person from my past that I would enjoy having find me. And he was like a brother to me.

Good Morning.  I have never seen a professional staging of Gypsy just a community theatre version and a high school version. The high school version was great.  However, I haven't really grasped on to the fact that everyone loves this show.  I guess it has to do with the performances?  I don't know.  The score is great, the book is definitely "of it's time", but I just don't "get it".

As for recordings -

Ethel
Angela
Tyne

You can keep the others.  After reading Patti's memoire, I've decided I am not a Patti fan at all.  I've seen her in Sweeney Todd where she played the tuba - and I actually loved that production as a whole because of the talent of the performers - and I've seen her in a cabaret act, which was fine.  Bernadette has grown on me over the years, and she was amazing in Hello, Dolly and Bette was not when I saw her.  I always thought that Bernadette was wrong for the role (Mama, not Dolly) from the beginning.

I haven't seen either movie all the way through.  I guess I should see the first one, though.  Bette is hit and miss with me.

I awoke this morning to find that I am in Facebook jail for 30 days.

For an unflattering cartoon of 45 and his first lady that I posted to a friend's wall in July 2019.

To a page that no longer even exists.

On Tuesday afternoon I finally go in to have my plate fitted for my lower partial.....after ALL this time....it's been since December 21 last year!

Then we'll see how long it takes to get it done.

Vibes it goes well and you don't have to wait much longer for this to be done.

We are bracing for a snow-pocalypse that's supposed to start tomorrow evening.  By Tuesday midday we could have about 8 inches of new snow on top what we already have.  The older I get the better I understand why senior citizens go south for the winter.

Many of our complex neighbors go South for the winter.  Mostly we have just taken a vacation and gone someplace warm.  Last year we only went to Chicago & froze.  We then went to DC where it was comfortably cold.

This winter, of course, we are home in the snow.  We have been lucky that until yesterday it has been a decent winter.

That's terrible about Singdaw in jail, but something is clearly wrong with the Facebook algorithms because that's happening to a lot of people - old posts from years ago causing Facebook jail - ultimately, that's why I was there for three days - two posts from last year, neither identified. I'm telling you, there's a class action lawsuit here - because they don't give anyone a way to contest these things or complain and clearly they're glitching and causing this crap.

It's absolutely ridiculous.  They let you off easy.

Up from a nap. Watching the last of The Trip to Greece. The setting is incredible, the food is making me hungry.

Back from a breakfast at Hugo's - patio seating. I had eggs benedict instead of pasta papa. The poached eggs were underdone, which I find very gross, but it was still pretty okay - the potatoes were great. Jinky's does much better eggs benedict but there you sit outside, while Hugo's is a covered patio with heaters. Then I picked up some packages and finally came back home. She of the Evil Eye is now gone and I'm listening to another delightful Saint-Saens opera, called Prosperine, another in this series that look like books - beautiful packaging, except this copy arrived torn to smithereens with a completely smashed and separated spine, so it goes back and they'll send another. I can tell you this did NOT happen during shipping - the Amazon package showed no signs of anything untoward. Some idiot pulled this off the shelf and sent it.

It's a lazy kind of day.  Was up at 4:00AM, then around 8:30AM went back to sleep for about 2 hours.

I have been listening to Kristin Hannah's latest, The Four Winds, which deals with the Dust Bowl Era. It's funny, but listening to these people brave the elements to save their land helped when I had to get out in the backyard just now with clothespins and sheets, both of plastic and fabric, to cover what I could of the olive tree and the fig. I don't know that either will be enough.

I have been waiting awhile for this to be available at the library.  The estimate is another three weeks.

Have you read "The Worst Hard Time: The Untold Story of Those Who Survived the Great American Dust Bowl" by Timothy Egan?  If not I highly recommend it.

My neighbors Ann and Jen earlier today brought me the most wonderful hot and spicy sausage and bean soup that Jen made. I'm having it for dinner.

Sounds wonderful. Tomorrow, I'm planning to make a sausage and bean soup, too, but this one has red cabbage in it as well.

Are all of the spots covered?

Not all.  Each unit gets one guaranteed spot (the two showing are for M3 and M4) and mine (M2) is my garage, but I'm using it for storage, so I can't park there.  Any uncovered parking spot is open for anyone.

The squares in the bottom to middle of the picture are the garden plots that people can use during gardening season, and the garbage/recycling dumpsters are up behind the garden plots in the center of the picture.
